It's all fine and dandy. The instructions say to put the wheel in the cargo area. They kinda forgot the part where you have to empty the contents of your cargo area.

You did that already to get to the spare. But they should have referenced those instructions.:p

The instruction for temporary securing of a flat tire is actually in the Owners Manual, page 531:

There's no way I would want to drive around with something this cumbersome occupying most of the hatch floor. Sorry, no temp spare, no sale.

i'm not averse to it. it's better than the goo. in a perfect world, there would be room below decks.

the donut takes less space than that pic, and i tuck it to the upper right.

Yeah with the Plug-In they didn't have much choice, short of re-engineering the whole hatch area, maybe a drop-down, truck style spare. But with the 2016's I think they're being shortsighted, just nixing the spare arbitrarily.

I believe all items below the "Toyota Safety Sense-P" row are in fact part of the Toyota Safety Sense-P package for the Prius and not in addition to the Toyota Safety Sense-P package. This is per the 2016 Toyota Safety Sense-P link at the bottom of the page below. Toyota Safety Sense Features.

Perhaps are format change in the table could help make this clearer?

You are correct; I broke out the individual set of of TSS-P. My intent was not necessarily to group features by bundles but to show which individual features are available on which individual Prius package. To that point, I indicated that the TSS-P and all its features are part of the ATP, available as an option on the Three and Four and standard on the Touring models. You will also see that there are other packages that include interior, exterior, and audio enhancements; keeping with the theme of the tables, those components are all spread out.

I added little sub-bullets on the subsequent lines in hopes to make it clearer. They seem happy so I'm going to leave it that way.

Could we get this thread pinned, stickied, whatever it's called? I keep coming back to it for info, searching the 4th gen main page for the word "visual", seems like the goto thread for levels and features.

It seems to be a weight issue. Moonroof with 17" wheels is too heavy? Just like GIII.

I think the 4th gen 17" rims have been put on a diet, they're quite spindly, just plastic inserts to fill out the look.

I've just wrapped up putting two sets of OEM wheels "to bed" for the winter, after swapping them out for snow tires. First I did our 17" Prius rims, rolling them in to the family room to wax them, then back to the garage. Then I repeated the exercise with our previous, still in the family Civic Hybrid 15" rims. I picked up the first one to move it indoors, and opted not to bother with rolling: it's practically half the weight. Obviously a bit of apples/oranges there, but it took me by surprise.
