I bought the Michelin Stealth wiper blades at Costco but found out they don't fit. It would go into the "J" hook on the wiper arm but just slide off from it. I look at the factory original and found the original blade has a "locking mechanism" (see picture) to hold it in place. I searched the forum but no one else has ever mentioned this problem. Some even said they switched from original to the Michelin Stealth. How did they get it to lock on the "J" hook? Am I missing something?

Interesting! Even with the Toyota original, if I don't press down on the locking mechanism (as shown in my picture), the blade would easily slide off from the J hook. My Michelin Stealth wiper was purchased over a year ago at Costco. May be the one you used is an improved version now.
    Thanks anyway.

I bought two M. Stealth blades and tried both again but it still doesn't stay on the J hook. Definitely the plastic attachment problem. I can use the pliers to close the gap on the J hook to make it fit if I really want to use the Michelin Stealth blades. Doing so will make it difficult to put the original blades back on.

Take it to where you bought the blades and ask them if they could help. Costco is usually quite helpful.

Mine snapped on no problem. I have no idea what you are doing.

*** Confirm the Michelin Stealth blades fit. ***
Finally got it on. It had to be pushed really hard until it goes in all the way to the end of the J hook. (During the process, I also broke the center decorative plastic cap with Michelin logo on it. )
    Thanks for everyone's help.

I'm having the same problem: Michelin's help line will only confirm I've got the right size and model and I'm using the right fitting for the hook. However hard I pull on the arm it won't click into place and it's right at the end of the J. The help line (which isn't helpful but is quite rude) advised me to take them back where I got them: that's the nearest branch of Costco - a round trip of about 150 miles.
Any tips would be most welcome
