It's on the mend, good luck with it! Our previous Honda Civic Hybrid got hit hard once, in the shop for a month, when we got it back the fuel economy showed 29 liters/100 km, sob...

With our 2010 (Touring package) I took a hit on that same corner, not as bad as yours though. The rear beam and various connecting items were replaced with new.We used Ultimate Collision, our tried-and-true place, for decades now.

There's been a few mentions up the page "to bring it to Toyota". I do not know if things are different in the States, but up here car dealerships don't do bodywork, well rarely. And if they have a shop it's pretty much autonomous. The body shops here typically work closely with ICBC, pretty much the BC insurer. They do the assessment, very seamless. They use the correct parts, either straight from the car dealership parts department, or from salvage, depending on your insurance level and availability.

The wife's car had base insurance through ICBC (our Gov't run insurance) and the optional stuff through "Family Insurance" (private insurance). I believe all these private insurance companies in BC funnel through "Economical Insurance" as a main company. I liked going through a private insurer because it was cheaper and pretty much everyone hates the ICBC monopoly that keeps rates high. But when it comes time to renew the insurance, i'm dropping the private insurance and going 100% ICBC.
Here's is what they don't tell you about the private insurance: Lower rates mean less service, you can only contact them 8:30-5pm Monday to Friday. (ICBC is 24/7). The worst part is that you car is towed from the accident site to either the bodyshop of your choice or the tow yard, then on to the bodyshop of your choice. The bodyshop does the estimate on your car, not ICBC.
Then the bodyshop doesn't get paid unless they fix you car, so they are working against having it deemed a total loss. You are dropped into the shark tank the moment your car arrives at the bodyshop. I feel our car probably would have been a write off if it was 100% ICBC coverage, since it wasn't, somehow it was worth it for the private insurance company to pay $15k to the bodyshop to fix a 2010 Prius over a 3 month period...
The other motorist was insured through ICBC, so Private insurance would collect their $$$ from them.
The whole experience felt crooked almost like there was a collusion between the bodyshop and the private insurance company, but that is probably the whole business "you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours..."
The insurance company worked hard to keep us in the dark and not answer any difficult questions regarding salvage value etc.
    Very poor customer service.

I've always stayed 100% ICBC, but not that knowledgeable about the pros and cons. I like that car goes straight to the bodyshop, and they handle everything. We're comfortable with this one shop, have brought our cars there for years, it's a privately owned business and we've kinda grown older with them, lol. That I think makes the difference.

I guess it's not over yet, engine light came on today while my wife was driving it on the
Freeway back from work...at night...yes i'm getting an earful...
Prius is back at Toyota again and i'll have to wait to see what they say.
It's been driven 80km since it was picked up on Friday.
It was 3/4 full when it had the accident in August, now it's one bar above 1/2.
Makes me wonder if 3 month old gas would trigger the engine light?

Update- Toyota replaced the fuel vapour EVAP charcoal canister and purge valve to fix the check engine light. Hopefully thats it!
