Several more have arrived. Daniel, Mike and Mike brought a torn down PSD assembly for us to play with. Already cut my finger playing with it!

Cool! Let us know what the plug-in is like if you get to drive/ride in it (and which mod it is - cal cars, etc - what batt. type). I never imagined the psd would be so small! :)

I sure wish I was there, but this will have to do. THANKS!
The picture of the PSD is beautiful !

I sure hope you get a chance to run around in the plug-in and report back. I see it is from CalCars. If someone gets a chance, I'd like to know what an engineer has to say about the lubrication with the ICE off for prolonged periods.

The fair is over. Engunneer arrived and took a group picture we should have soon. It was quite busy lots of questions benighted came by as did Oly57. One Prius chatter from NY, NY in the area for other reasons stopped by! I will post more picks, here later. I sure others will chime in as they get home. A very good meet and a lot of interest in alternatives to the same old stuff. The biodiesel contingent was a bit larger and more all electric cars.
    Here is the web page:

Here are a few more pictures.

Frank and I were interviewed by a reporter from a Tacoma newspapaer (The Tribune?). Keep your eyes out for the article. The pictures are coming!

Frank spent some time in my car demonstrating the CAN View. Unfortunately I frightened her off when I told him to show the RAW display. I guess Hex is not her thing! It was great fun and meeting and putting faces to names was great. I think we made a impact. Ifixem was a big hit and his wife is a saint. He was explaining how a differential worked to a father and son and she glanced at her watch at, O' 3:30 and he was going strong, and she smiled. Good times had by all. I sure Dave, Frank and Daniel will post when they are on line again. I am waiting for engunneer's picture.

Indeed! Ifixem has got to be one of the most patient persons I have ever seen! There was a gentleman that was absolutely non-stop asking some rather obtuse questions. Ifixem patiently waited and responded in very clear and simple terms for the dude... yet the questions seemed to never end.
Ifixem's wife gave a several funny looks when the conversation kept going and going. As far as I know, they are still in the street talking at this very hour! ;)

My kudos to both Ifixem and his wife for being so patient. Hell, I could hardly keep my girlfriend at the event, let alone near the Prii, for more than about 15 mins...

One of the most interesting conversations that I heard Ifixem talking about was the number of people that come back to the dealer complaining that there is 'something wrong with their Prius because it's only getting 35 mpg...' And how he has a little test course around the dealership so that he can compare 'apples' to 'apples' and even when he concludes that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, the customer argues that the 'Priuses computer' was messed with and manipulated to display the 'correct' mpg. Wow. That's rather sad to face that time and time again.

I'm quite bummed that I was too lazy to show up in time to line up with the other Prii. Would have been a sweet PNW shot!

It was nice meeting the folks I did meet!

That calcars Prius was a tad bit frightening. Great idea... but it looks a wee bit of a hazard. The buss bars alone seemed a little long and out for a shorting one of these days. Plus the car reeked of cigarette smoke... :(

Jerald Dodson's all electric 1990 Mazda B2000 pick-up truck was great! What an excellent project and a great way to show the public that EV can do! It was funny listening to Jerald discover that he needed stronger 'engine' mounts when he tested the electric motor the first time... (The original mounts were a bit twisted from the torque when the motor decided to spin instead of the drive shaft)

Yes... There are. Upgrade your web browser or ensure that Javascripts can run (do you have any sort of script/pop-up blocker running?).

Each link is a javascript 'newwindow' so if you are using a pop-up blocker, it might be preventing the execution of the script or the opening of the new window.

I am writing you from the Widoz side of my MacBook Pro and it works ok. Of note bootcamp only works with the most recent version of Widoz, something called service pack 2? I would follow oly_57mph directions. I used both IE and FireFox. Both most recent. I only tried it with Safari on the Mac Side. I will go back over and use FireFox on the Mac. I am sorry you cant get on yet.
FireFox works on the Mac side. As an aside on the Windows side IE is faster than FireFox in loading the images from the picture page on .mac by a lot!? I thought that FireFox is faster? It appears to be slightly faster on the Mac OS X side.

I got asked a lot of questions, many the usual what is you gas milage, maintenance cost. With a Pug in Hybrid near by no one asked where do you plug it in. Here are links to a lot of the Questions as I referred a lot of people to Prius Chat. Several were taking notes so I think they will find their way here. Here are some links to get them started:

I took five panoramic images. I'm doing them when I get time, and I have posted a medium resolution image of #4 for everyone:

The actual image is 3950x1337, and I can send that to anyone who wants it.

    And Pano 5:
The actual image is 3653x1182, and I can send that to anyone who wants it.

Both of them have minor errors (sorry for anyone who is smooshed a little). I'll clean them up when I get the chance.

Well, some of you have seen my usual rant about this. Of course I
have scripting and such nonsense turned off, as anyone who is the
slighest bit concerned about security/privacy should. Upgrade my
browser? Bzzzzt, thanks for playing. I am running a normal
STANDARDS-BASED browser that renders HTML just fine, thank you very
much, and I'm afraid I must deny your attempt to dictate what
applications I run on my machine. YOUR pages are where the problem
lies, because javascript and such are NOT standards per the w3c,
they are OPTIONAL EXTENSIONS, and expecting all possible viewers
to have dropped their drawers to that extent just to view a simple
batch of images is, in a word, offensive.
    .
Take a look at http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/worktruck for
a simple example that ANYONE can view. You can even pull the images
for later viewing with a text-based browser [which is generally how
I read PC anyways] without having numerous hurdles dropped in front
of you. Please take this seriously; as phishing and malware and
identity theft ramp up almost faster than gas prices, this stuff
    gets really important.
    .
In the meantime, I waded through enough of the scripting muck to
figure out where the images really are, and managed to view them.
But don't take that as meaning "no longer a problem" -- think about
this carefully. Would you let someone drop arbitrary executable code
on YOUR machine just to access something that shouldn't need it??
    .
Sorry for the topic diversion, but when someone tells me what I
should use to surf I want to know which part of FOAD they didn't
understand. To get back on track, the pix are really excellent,
especially the PSD innards. Those should become permanent reference
material someplace -- it's a rare look at the stuff, and much clearer
than anything else I've found to date. And I'm glad y'all had the
opportunity to gather round and play with that stuff -- if I was
nearer to that coast, I would have been *so* there. Got other fish
to fry back east very soon, however...
    .

I just now noticed a lack of black Prii there.
