Hi guys, was going through a bad day today with my 2010 Prius Gen 3. I was on highway driving at 68MPH behind another car, at the time I step down on gas pedal for overtaking, all a sudden both "Check PCS system" and "Check Hybrid system" appears on the Console display and gas pedal had no response from the engine at all. The car was not moving and I had to stop aside and "P" the car. I tried to turn off the car, turn back on more than 10 times. Both warning signal "Check PCS system" and "Check Hybrid system" display on console and the car can not go into "ready" mode hence the car can not drive. I could put shift to "P","N" but just not "D". Had to call tow truck to tow back to toyota dealer, and they said will look into it on Monday. Can anyone tell me what had happened to my car? Many thanks from Sydney Australia

My first guess would be an Inverter IPM failure. You need to get it to a Toyota dealer and have them pull DTC.

Have you had the Software Recall completed from about a year ago? The purpose was to try to help prevent this IPM failure.

The good news is if this is the failure it should be covered under warranty.

Keep us posted and good luck.

Ill 2nd the inverter likely failed.

The P0A94 is DC/DC Converter Performance with several sub codes and possibilities.

The P324E is MG-ECU Power Relay intermittent circuit.

They both list the Inverter with Converter assembly as a possible Trouble Area, depending on sub code.

It will be interesting to see what the failure turns out to be.
