60K mile service cost me $409.00

Mike, my dealer provided me a list of maintenance and the cost was going to be over $800, is there a different list in the book that tells me what should be done at 60,000 miles?

 

I don't know if I can consider $800 maintenance. I would think something would have to break for me to spend that type of money. Maintenance is suppose to help you from spending that type of money right?

You should follow your owners manual and do what's necessary. Don't go by what the dealer is telling you to do for maintenance.

 

The difficult quandary for all consumers is relax and trust the dealership totally OR get the facts before and then tell them exactly what you want, which will be open for discussion OR just check and do as much as you can and to HELL with the stealership. For me the best option is the last, but sometimes they are needed for more advanced work. What's really annoying is the degree of misinformation you rec.. from tech writers and salesmen etc within the facility. They are always on guard and ready to misinform either intentionally or nonintetionally. So you the consumer must always be sharp and alert, or else the Tiger will get you...............
