Yeah that was from the PDF that Danny posted. He received it at the US launch event. I'm trying to see if there are other ways to interpret that. It can't be the regular turn signals because I checked the Japanese videos and the front turn signals in the bumper are regular bulbs. I haven't seen a second set of turn signals in the front beside the headlights. I also don't see fender-mounted lights. So by process of elimination, I believe it's mirror-mounted, even though it's not explicitly mentioned. I guess it's only a few more weeks before someone receives theirs and we can find out once and for all.

But no puddle light? One of our members installed them on their G3 Prius.

Puddle lights illuminate the ground beside the door so you can see where you are stepping in the dark. They are usually put in the bottom of the side mirrors. I've installed them in RX-8s, made here (by me), using "ultra-bright LEDs". You connect them to the interior lights. In the Prius, with the packages I've had at least, the interior lights go on when you approach the car (SKS give the signal I guess).

Do you still have one to double check with? I'm guessing thats for the side blinker on the headlight assembly.

A couple of members here installed the aftermarket one with the white/amber combination signal lamp too. (So the mirrors signals are white until you use the indicators).

Puddle lamps work if you use remote keyless entry because they illuminate when you unlock the door. With SKS, you're almost by the car before the lights come on so it's not as useful.

Maybe they are going to be like Apple and introduce the 2016 Prius-2-4S in June with Integrated turn signals in the mirror.

I also watched several videos where they were clearly using their turn signals, with a clear view of the side view mirror, and nothing was blinking. On the upside, she was getting 63.x mpg, and throughout the video, the MPG was going up.

Yeah. I remember one of the threads. The puddle light was apparently standard on the JDM Prius and it's standard on the Lexus CT. Puddle lights have since then become more common on C-class vehicles in Europe, so I was hoping that it would be standard on the new Prius. The light show of larger Lexuses is a nice gimmick.

The Evoque has the Land Rover name shone on the ground when the puddle lights come on. It would be cool to have a PRIUS insignia or Hybrid Synergy Drive with the puddle lights. I like what they did with the 3rd Gen Prius' illuminated door sills. I hope they offer something similar for the 4th Gen. The Camry and Corolla ones are kinda bland.

So either that booklet is wrong or it's referring to something else.
