Thank you very much to everyone who had responded to my thread for help. Everyone here has been very helpful to me during this stressful time. I've been researching my options for a days and have decided to go with Greentec Auto. I fully agree with JC91006 and dorunron that the warranty is only as good as the person honoring it. Beware of the person giving you the warranty because no matter how good it seems, they always want to charge you more money when you try to claim the warranty. I've definitely learned my lesson when I first had someone from Craigslist just replaced a few modules and had the battery died after like 4 months. Now I am going with a legitimate company and hope their rebuilt battery would last me for a few years rather than months... It was also good timing because I managed to get $150 off thanks to the Veteran's day sale that they had going on so I paid a total of $1640.40 since I also opted for mobile installation which cost an additional $350.

I've been super happy with a $900 fix especially since he came to my house and put in the new battery for me.

What he put on his website certainly sounds good. But in reality, not much of that was really done. I'm glad you're happy with the product you got. Rebuilts are usually "hits or misses". Yours seems to be a good one.

It's Sunday June 4, 2017. 3:30 pm. So... I have my 2005 Prius stripped down. Seats out, trunk liner out, bare bones down to the HV battery. Tomorrow I am going to buy a Dorman 587-001 rebuilt pack with 36 month / unlimited mile warranty for $1271 out the door. Unless.....someone knows a better deal. I'm in Crestline, in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains. Anyone wanna help a dude out? I've got free parking and entrance passes for 4 to Lake Gregory. Just threw some chicken on the grill. About to turn on the Warriors game and got plenty of St Pauli's Girl and primo Cali kush. Just need a new battery pack....

Good luck with that, I hope it works out. Please come back in 12 months and update how it went, either way.
