driver side headlights and tail lights not working

    My driver side head light and tail lights are not working. The brake lights and turn signals still work. I checked all of the fuses and light bulbs nothing is blown. It did rain yesterday and it looks like some moisture got into the driver side headlight, not like a pool of water just some condensation on the lens. Does anybody have any suggestions, the thought of bringing this to the dealer is scary. I can only imagine a $400 charge when they replace some fuse I didn't know about.

    My passenger side headlight is not working. The bulb is fine. I can't find a fuse. But I can't find a fuse for the drivers light. The manual mentions fuses 20 and 29. But the slots are empty, so I'm thinking they are for a optional higher end lights. Are there relays involved? As a cheap fix can I run a jumper from the drivers light to the passenger light? All other lights including the high beams work fine. Thanks.

    Bumping this up, hoping for some help. I can't find fuses for any of the headlights, I looked at both fuse locations.

    Hard to tell if the bulb is "fine" just by looking at it. Did you swap it with the driver's side bulb to check?

    Fuse locations are in the owners manual.

    If a DVM is available, a quick check for continuity between the bulb's terminals is easier. ;)

    There may still be continuity with a broken filament when cold. Better to see if it stays lit after heating up.

    The owners manual is wrong. On page 460 it says
    20 H-LP LH LO 15A left-hand headlight (lowbeam)
    29 H-LP RH LO 15A right-hand headlight (lowbeam)

    But both slots 20 and 29 are empty! I can find no fuse that when pulled turns off my one working headlight (the drivers side). Any help would be appreciated. Mine is a 2012 Prius two. Totally base with no options.

    See attached.
    In the 2010 Engine Compartment -
    Fuse 19 (40A) for both low beams
    Fuse 31 (10A) for left-side high beam
    Fuse 32 (10A) for right-side high beam

    I don't see why the 2012 would be any different...

    I have a 2013 Prius 4. As fishernobody says, the manual says that slots 20 and 29 are for low-beam fuses. My slots 20 and 29 are empty. Just found out because both low beams failed at once, and I went to look for the fuses. Thanks Toyota.
    Is there another Toyota headlight class-action suit in the offing?
