A few days ago our 2010 with 87k became immobile with "Check Hybrid System" illuminated on dash. Dropped it off at the dealer who had it all day. Replaced the "transistor kit" part number 04899-47021 and blamed the failure on the recall. Recall was not completed. Wife felt a jolt while driving home but no warning lights illuminated. Next day she tried to start it and got that message. Codes pulled were p3004 with info code 800 and p0ad. So, if you haven't done the recall yet, DO IT. It was covered under warranty ($2200 or so). We did get a new transistor and a coolant flush out of the deal, I guess. Hopefully no long term damage has resulted. Not too sure what the "transistor" is, is that another word for inverter?
Go to New Cars, Trucks, SUVs & Hybrids | Toyota Official Site. Click on "Owners" at the top and follow instructions with the VIN# about recalls due, maintenance history performed by Dealerships, digital owners manual and a few other tidbits.
And for a third option, there should be a sticker on the underside of the hood noting that the E0E recall has been applied to the vehicle.
My mileage has been consistent at about 52 mpg average when compared with prior to the recall service. (YMMV. )
