So Toyota seems up to their old game !
You can't get a Touring with a moon roof and HUD because of the 17" wheels ?
They said that when gen. 3 came out,but when I bought my gen.3 Facelift in 2012 it suddenly was no problem getting the fully loaded Prius Executive (the top version in Germany) with 17" wheels and solar roof !
Fully loaded in Germany means that you get absolutely everything that's possible besides accessories of course !
If it's really a weight issue then I'd rather have the moon roof than a front power seat !

We never did get the 17" wheels and moonroof combo in North America.

    Softex is Toyota's fake leather.

Link for specifics: What is SofTex®?

I assume that the sheetmetal shape is the same so their should be enough space. I would expect the anchoring point to secure the wheel would also be there but you would need to check.

However, If going to this trouble, why not forget the donut and use the full size spare configuration below?

This is probably just a simple question that, for some reason, I haven't figured out yet:

Just what are the "LED Clearance Lamps" on the Three Touring and Four Touring?

    Thanks in advance...

If you recall the Las Vegas Periscope video, it's the 3 LED dot-lights below the LED foglights. They're basically just decorative lights. They're called "clearance" since that's what Toyota calls the front corners of the car (another use of that word is "clearance and backup sensors". The "clearance" being the front bumper sensors)

Actually here's a better photo. They're the 3 LED lights in the bumper that are on.

    Thanks!

Do they come on with the fog lights, as part of the DRLs, or operated independently by a separate switch? (I know, so many questions...)

Not with the foglights since the foglights are off in the picture above. I'm guessing they come on with the parking lights.

I still wish I could get a Prius 4 with all the tech but no moonroof. I don't get the strategy of dividing the 4 and 4T so you can get either 17" wheels or the moonroof, but not neither, and not both.
