Any idea why this could be and how I can fix it?

The driver side mirror can move in all four directions. I've tried unsticking it and pushing with fingers to center it, that doesn't work. I can hear the motor when it goes up and down, but can't hear the motor trying when trying to go left and right.

Sometimes it's stuck and need to push with fingers to center it

How do I check if this is the case?

you would have to pull the switch (not sure how it comes out) and test the continuity at the connections. if it's not that, then it could be the wiring to the motor, or something in the mirror unit. i assume there's only one fuse, and not one for each direction.
have you tried pushing harder on the switch? the fact that it won't go up or down may tell us the problem is somewhere else, but i'm not sure exactly how it works.

It actually comes out very easily. See the video below.

This was my issue... the left worked fine but the right only intermittently moved on one axis. If I pushed harder on the right rocker, it would move in the other direction, but wouldn't stay working.
I replaced my switch with one I purchased off ebay and everything is back to working normal.
