Why not have Spotify in Entune?

I don't use Pandora or iHeartRadio. I have been using Spotify for a few years now, and I am very pleased with the selection of music they have to offer. But why doesn't Toyota have an App in Entune to control it?

I was curious if it was a number of users issue, so I did a lick Google-Fu and found a Wiki that had some data useful to me.

According to the Wiki, Spotify has 75 milion users, Pandora has 77 million, and iHeart has 48 million. So I don't think it is a numbers thing.

I get that Pandora and iHeart are free to use and Spotify is paid. But they shove SiriusXM down our throats, and that is paid and if you don't pay for it after the first 3 months, you can expect a lifetime of junk mail and phone calls begging you to come back and give them money. So I feel the paid aspect is also not a valid argument.

I do use the steering wheel controls to advance tracks and most of the time the album artwork is displayed on the screen. That is somewhat new, it used to freeze on the name of the first track playing and never change with each new track. But I have multiple playlists and to change to a different one I have to open my phone and scroll around it to find what I want. First World problems, I know. I just cant seem to understand why they don't offer at least app integration with Entune.

Are there any other Spotify users that are just as perplexed as me? There are at least 75 million of us. Is there a way to get Toyota to add that feature?

There's only one sat radio company and they don't send junk mail or call me. If it weren't for the occasional traffic report I wouldn't use the radio at all. Answers can usually be found by following the money. If Spotify were paying Toyota enough money they would have an app.

Exactly, follow the bouncing money ball. Slacker, iHeart, and Pandora have something in the hunt.

Of course since the latest update, iHeart does not work/engage/start/function.

I have heard of "mirroring" hardware that will mirror your phone screen to your infotainment system. The only one i have seen that works for both iPhone and Android so far is the Kivic One, and it appears that I wont be able to buy one because I cant find a vendor.
