It was a bitter sweet day for me on January 18th, 2016. It was the day I had to say goodbye to my beloved 2015 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali Duramax... as well as an $800 payment that I've been paying for the past 2 years. lol I no longer needed a pickup, and decided to get back into a Prius and save some money. My payment is now $298, and I no longer have to spend $350 a month in diesel every month commuting in my truck.

Including registration, insurance, gas, and the payment. I'll now be saving approximately $9,600 each year.

I previously owned a 2007 Prius a few years back to help offset gas for the truck, but ended up selling it. However, it's always led me to wanting to get one again.

I will miss the truck, but I won't miss the expense. Moving forward.. here are the items I'm looking to add, and I'm sure I'll get more as time goes on:

WeatherTech floor liners, cargo mat, and sunshade
    Illuminated door sills
    Sharkfin antenna
    Rear bumper applique
    New rims & tires
35% tint - all windows less windshield

If anyone has other ideas for add-ons that they've gotten themselves, I'd love to hear about it in the meantime. I'll definitely be adding more items over time, especially with the savings I've created with the new purchase! Thanks everybody!

I'll check out the Valenti Tail lights & mirrors. Thanks for the input. Right now I've added the cargo mat and floor liners, but haven't gotten to the shark fin, door sills, and bumper applique. I'm getting my tint done tomorrow however. I'll update with some pictures afterwards.

Tint turned out amazing! Ron's Window Tinting in Lodi, CA did a great job. I ended up going with their most expensive film, which significantly decreases the amount of heat that can go through the film. I'm doing the door sills and bumper applique this weekend. So I figure after those are done, I'll do all the pics at once. I'm second guessing doing the shark fin however, not sure I am going to end up doing that one. All that's left after this weekend will be tires/rims.

All that's left for me is the tires & rims. However, I'll probably wait until the current tires wear out to make the switch.

Later on, I'll post a better overall pic of the car.
