Two years ago I purchased the OEM Toyota fog lamps for my C. Within 12 months I managed to take a rock to the driver side lamp and bust out the lens.
A replacement lens was more than the cost of an Ebay kit, so I decided to give the cheapo kit a shot.
This kit was made of much thinner plastic and the beam adjustment actually moved the whole body up and down as compared to only the reflector moving with the OEM lights.
I only installed the new driver's side lens and days later my passenger lamp took a rabbit hit and broke the mounting tab on the light and the entire shroud was cracked. I was glad I had purchased the whole cheapo kit, as now I needed to replace the passenger's side lens and mounting shroud.
Not sure why (using 19w bulbs)... but the driver's side lens melted in the middle, casting a black shadow in the light beam.

Cut to Monday late in the evening... I found the thread on the projector lenses that Chiezy has for sale. I PM'd him and set up payment. Thursday morning the postman dropped off a well packed box with my new projectors. Friday after work they are now installed. I took a few pictures of the three different lenses for comparision and also the look after they were installed. You can check the other threads for beam pattern pics and light comparison, etc. I just wanted to post that Chiezy delivered a quality product in a timely manner as promised.

Every one of those angel eye foglights I've seen have crappy lenses and use crappy H3 bulbs. These use a standard H11 bulb and can take HID bulbs, have nice sharp cutoffs, and high quality glass lenses.

What bulb did you decide to pair the projectors with? Do you have a pic of the beam pattern by chance?
I have those same cheapo eBay fogs and I'm curious what direction you went with.

Looks good @olftboy thanks for the pics! I believe you're the first Prius C with these in the forums ;)
    You have any output shots?

I'm also curious to know the bulb type and output shots. I'm kind of interested to match my 6000K Morimoto HIDs. Was looking at the Morimoto ones but they're rated at 5500K.

Are pics of the back where the bulb goes in available? Are they durable?

I went with the Innovited AC 55W HID. I bought two sets... the second set I installed in my low beams. I also did the 9005 to 9011 conversion for the high beams. I'll try and get a few pics of the beam patterns from all the above, but I bet they don't turn out as good as the pics from the other thread. I will say that I have much, much, much better vision now. The cutoff is amazing and not one person has flashed me yet. Compared to other vehicles on the same country road I drive, the light beam travels about four times the distance and about double the width. If my dash cam captures this effect, I'll post up a video this weekend.

Wow, IMO, 55w HIDs in foglights is overkill.

The housing is stamped 55w, the 55w was close in price and I was trying to get some serious light down the road. I'm in the Texas Panhandle and when I'm heading to work I am on some dark back roads. My Geo Metro was totaled when I hit a deer on my morning commute. So, overkill.... maybe for city driving, no such thing as overkill in the backwoods. :)

Messed up editing a bit, but it's just a video for lights, so... this is what you get. The first pickup that you see actually had brighter than factory lights. Chiezy's fogs still cast a shadow across his headlight beams. I clipped a couple of time frames that showed the cut off and also the brightness compared to other vehicles on the road. The final stretch on the video is where I lost my Geo Metro (RIP) to a surprise attack by a deer coming out of the ditch..

would be nice to see a comparison of it on/off while you're driving, other than that I think I can see the parabola shape of it...which I guess is a little better than the oem c4 fogs, however, I think my Mcdonohough's put out better lighting

There's some thread saying the fog is only 16W and the housing had been melted with higher wattage bulbs but you said it's OK for 55W? In the manual the bulb is also 16W if I remember correctly. I'm using 35W HID and no damage yet, if 55W is fine I'll change them in the near future.

Your McDonoughs seem brighter because there is no cutoff in the reflector based oem style foglights. What you are seeing as "better" light is glaring to other drivers. :(

The oem bulb may be specified as an H16, not 16w. There is confusion on the H16 vs. H11 bulb, here is an article explaining where the confusion comes from: The Difference Between H16 and 5202 Bulbs | Better Automotive Lighting Blog

The housing is stamped 55w because it is spec'd for 55w H11 halogen bulbs. The projector foglights Chiezy is selling has metal housings and heavy glass lenses, so they can take the heat from HID lights. Even so, I'm not sure running 55w HID bulbs is going to be OK in the long run, since the foglight enclosure is very small, which doesn't allow as much heat dissipation as a much larger headlight housing would. It may be possible, in theory, for the very hot glass lens to shatter if cold water were to splash suddenly on it.

The online manual saying 19W Type C:

    Front fog lights*1  19 C

    OK, you're right. :)
19w H16 bulbs are specified. Read the article I linked above, H11 can be substituted, but the higher wattage could cause problems, as in the previously posted images.

Just wanted to clear a few things up, before misinformation runs amok....
Chiezy's lights say 55W HID right on the housing. He also stated "The base is also metal to withstand heat. These are made specifically for HID's."

The bulb installed in the previously posted image of the damaged lens WAS a 19w H16 bulb. I believe that lens was damaged due to the inferior build of the ebay kit. It probably would have exploded off the front of the car if an H11 had been installed.
