I haven't met anybody who doesn't like their touring model. I met a woman at the gas station the other day who has 365k on her 2007 touring. All she has done is replace the brakes at 200k and the headlights twice.

Surely she has done more than what you mentioned at 365k

Love my 2008 Touring Prius. Will be 8 years old in May, 2016. Just passed 120,000 miles and still running strong, with a lifetime average of 50.5 MPG.

    My 2nd post, yipppee.

I just purchased my first ever Prius which is a 2008 Prius Touring. But I don't know what the features are for the 2008 Touring....Does anyone here know what the 2008 touring features are?

Check out Hybrid Automotive LLC for a battery charger/discharger. It works great to recondition a bad battery or prolong the heath of a good one.

In addition to Prius' standard equipment, the Touring model receives: Tuned suspension, 16" Alloy wheels, Rear Spoiler (+1" deeper vs. standard spoiler), High intensity discharge (HID) headlamps and integrated fog lights.

208k on my touring. Cheapest car we've ever owned, though having to go to Toyota service is a drag (they couldn't even do oil changes right on three separate occasions between two different dealers)

Ok, coming up on 100K. Any good reason to change the plugs or anything else if it is running fine. So far have refused the extra crap at oil changes. Where is the PCV valve on this?

    Mine just turned 150k.
The only bad thing about the car is that the wheels are 16' and thus the mileage is slightly worse
    Average mpg is: 48.2
I replaced the catalytic converter the other day. That was a BIG piss off. EXPENSIVE!
Other than that... the car has been great.
I just had my HV battery tested at the Toyota stealership the other day. They said its fine. :)
I am trying to get 300k out of my car.

Spark plugs & the Aux Battery (I'm assuming)
I've also spoken to taxi drivers about cars like this... and they say that 2nd and 3rd gen prii can have a TON of miles on their original HV battery

Yep, those tires made it a non choice if I was able to do it over again. But I got a clear out price and it has been super reliable.

NEW SUBJECT - HID headlights [sorry; new to PC and couldn't figure out how to post this as a new question/research it]. Recently replaced HID bulbs for second time and there's still flickering in one light so it looks like the ballast needs replacing. While researching ballasts ran across "ballast kits" for $99 for 2 new ballasts and bulbs exchanging Xenon bulbs for the originals. Anyone have experience with these kits?
