I just bought a 2016 Prius two base model this past week, I am very satisfied with it.
After I've had it a bit longer I'll put up more info , it is red with black interior and came with
Mats front and rear plus cargo mat and rear bumper guard , which is like chrome with Prius written on it , looks nice, other than that it is totally the base model. The car still has everything I really wanted for the price though, I paid below sticker but by how much I am still not sure since I traded my pip in on it and they gave me more for it after the deal was finalized to get my payment where I wanted it.
The car is great as far as the ride quality mine rides much, much better than my pip did
I saw where some folks are saying that the ride is not that much better I can only say that I do get on some rough twisty back roads and I notice a huge difference .
Maybe some people live in areas that the roads are much better and don't really see the difference as I do, or the touring model may have a harsher ride.
Also mine has the Toyo 15 inch tires on it for those who were asking about types of tires
That were on the cars , I read that many were were getting different brands and that the Toyo's were supposed to be on the Eco model, it is more quiet and handles much better.
The only thing I miss so far is the 3 door touch unlock verses the just the drivers door which mine has, but I really wanted the spare tire as I live in a rural area and like to run my tires down before I buy more. I also had tint installed , I'll put pics up later.
I'll put up more info after I've had it a bit longer
    Take care Bob

Carlock Toyota in Tupelo , I would check Carmax as well if you drive over to check it out , I did put new tires on it Ecopias and the Prius plug in mats as well as the rubber plug in mat in the rear and new Toyota wiper arms, the expensive ones, while I had it. Should you go and check it out pm me and I'll give you my phone number to let you know more if you want. 37200 odometer, 2012 base.
    Take care Bob

So I discussed it with my wife:

Me - Honey, I want to drive to Tupelo, 145 miles away, to look at a Plug-In Prius.
Her - Ok, but you might as well pack and stay there!

Maybe she just wanted you to stay the night before heading back. All that driving and such... Or maybe wanting to go on Valentine's day was probably not the best choice?

In case you did not know, you can change the sks on the drivers door to unlock just the drivers door or all doors, should be in the owners manual.

Thanks , I saw where you can change the door lock settings on the dash, I would have liked to have the touch to unlock on the two front doors and the rear hatch as it is on the Eco model and up,
I know they want people to buy the next models up and spend more. I'll adjust to it over time as I really like the rest of the car and think there are still a lot good features for the price.

Hi! First post. I'm in the process of buying, so I figured this would be a good thread to ask in --

I'm in the process of buying a 4... I really want the Advanced Tech Package but the Toyota site only seems to let it come in black and dark gray. Plus the Premium Convenience Package (or what-have-you it's called) doesn't even appear anymore. Anyone know what's up with that?

More to the point, anyone got a Blue 4 with the Harvest Beige plus these features? Any opinions? :)

    Thanks!

welcome! can you ask the dealer to order one? i don't think there are any color restrictions. check the 'visual tables of gen 4 package combinations' thread to see if what you want is offered by toyota. all the best!(y)

Thanks! Supposedly my Blue/Beige 4 is hitting port on the 24th, but I'm strongly considering trying to get the safety package -- though the only thing I think I really care about is the adaptive cruise control. The moon roof would be a nice add on though... I'll drop by tomorrow and see. It does seem like the Toyota website is growing increasingly anemic though -- I checked just now and it's restricting it to black models only for some reason. But if the site's just weird, I'll see what the dealer can do for me.

Looking forward to this! I've been on a Scion xB 2004 for... well, since 2004.

i've found that different browser's can affect the toyota website for some reason. i've never had good luck with it.

Picked up my new Prius 4 today and couldn't be happier!! Loaded with ATP and PCP as well as Console/Shifter Applique Kit, Mats, Rear BumperApplique and upgraded alloy wheels. It drives as good as it looks!! ;)

Big thanks to Dianne at Carson Toyota for hooking me up. She really gets you the best deal and service!

I purchased a Prius 4 Touring at Autonation Irvine and they offered me no deal. Full MSRP. I've leased from Dianne at Carson, a PIP, but she offered no deal at the time either so I didn't go back to her, although I enjoyed leasing from her. I was impulsive to say the least.

I wanted the Prius 4, for the sunroof, but in the end hated the look of the plastic inserts where the fog lights reside. I also didn't like the hubcaps, and when walking to the area where the cars come off the truck, saw that Toyota is using the same alloys that they used from 2010 on! The difference between the 2016, and the 2014, 2015, alloys is they are no longer painted black. So I'm happy to have the 17" and alloys.

I absolutely love the car. It drives so sweet! I've ordered the console appliqué from eBay, and all weather mats from PriusChat Shop. I got the Midnight Black version that looks great as the panels all flow together without color breaks. Anyone deciding not to buy one because they don't like how it looks in pictures need to see it in person. Such a nice change from the conservative generation 2, and 3 versions.

Looks fantastic Surferboy! Love the color. The wheels are nice. You got those from Dianne? What brand are they? Did you install the appliqué? I hope it will be easy to put on.

Thanks Peter. Yes the wheels came with it as part of the package Dianne had, I believe they are Toyota factory as an official add on. She mentioned that she was ordering more with those alloys. The appliqué was already installed as well.

Even the 17" rims have plastic though. Pull the silver plastic pieces off and you've got a utilitarian looking, black rim.
