Nope can't refute that second point. I'm not so sure I haven't given my Faith a black eye on occasion. I prefer to refer to "them" as the "religious wack" rather than "right" becuase of my stance in the political spectrum. :lol:

these are the kinds of people i hate. people who manipulate religion for their own agenda and try to coerce others into following them with the thread of "punishment, hell, eternal damnation" and whatnot, who twist things around to say what they want them to say when they're not really even relavant to begin with. holy crap that woman needs to be b*tch slapped...

Galaxee: These folks are not trying to convince anybody to follow them. They are trying to provoke people into taking a poke at them, so they can sue them. They do this by being as obnoxious and hateful as they possibly can. They want to make people angry enough at them that they'll slug them. See my earlier posts. These are not religious extremists. They are nothing but perverts who have found a very profitable business model.

 

These CHRISTIANS are no better or worse than other mindless neocons who would FORCE their absurd agenda on the general population of sheeple who lock-step behind their talking points. I have seen these evangelists in action on my streets, thinking people are antagonized by them, and right wingers offer them unambiguous support. Such is the divide in this country. You give the worst of the worst a microphone and they become inebriated with their own self-importance and blinded to realism. Think Rove and Co. Think certain leaders of various churches, think hate-spewing right-wing talk show hosts. PLUS this has been going on for at least 20 years and sheeple have come to mirror the hate as real thinking. Travel outside the US and you will find many people think all US citizens are followers of such nonsense. They have tainted us all.

 

The foundation of fundamentalism is mental illness. Maybe they can inteview someone "speaking in tongues" next. Or how's the "God Warrior" doing these days in her battle against all things "dark-sided" I wonder?
