Replacement Hybrid Batterys in Iowa

    My Toyota Prius almost has 200,000 miles and the hybrid battery is going out of it according to Toyota of Des Moines they said two banks of cells are going bad 8 or 9 cell banks.

    I was wondering if someone in Iowa is on here that recommends who changed their hybrid battery for a reasonable price.

    check the dealers for under $2,500. or look for auto parts that sell dorman replacements.

    I rebuild batteries in the Twin Cities. You are at the very edge of how far I'll travel to replace a battery. $850 installed with a 18 month warranty.

    Someone came out and swapped one out working good so far! If anyone needs a name for Iowa battery replacement for cheap done! PM me.

    You get what you pay for.

    If modules were swapped, you will be back here w/in days.

    If the HV Batt was swapped, you'll be back here very soon: 3-6months

    This guy has been doing this for years and has never had a person come back he offers a 1 year warranty.

    Unless you know ever single one of his customers, you are taking his word that there have been zero issues.

    Hopefully this repairs works out for you.

    In the same situation as some other people in this thread were. 06 Prius with a bad battery pack. Are there any options in the Des Moines metro other then having one of the Toyota dealers do it?

    I can always get a rebuild drop shipped to you or any other shop local to you.
    Do you have a regular mechanic who works on your car. (Other than the dealer.)

    Thanks for all the feedback. I was able to work with Toyota and the dealer to get replaced at price I was comfortable with. Time was not wasted as I am sure I will need assistance in the future and now have some great places to check with.
