The brake light on my drivers side rear light assembly just went out. My understanding is that the LED bulb is a non-replaceable item and that the entire assembly must be replaced. Anybody have any experience with the aftermarket replacements sold on e-Bay?

    Thanks in advance,

I bought one maybe 6 months ago. Works fine. I bought from am-autoparts. It had a chip on one edge that had no effect on the function and has worked fine. About $70.00. The actual replacement was not too bad. I probably found someone showing it in a youtube video.
The part price from the dealer was ouch.
    Good luck, Craig

Thanks Craig. I noticed a posting on another website that said if one or two of the LEDs go out then it's probably the light assembly but if they are all out, it points to an electrical connection somewhere. Can anybody confirm this?
