So far, in the little over two weeks we've had "the baby," he gets by far the best mileage going to Temple, not some place that is real close to Temple, like the Library or a store, but to Temple.
    Think there's a message here  ?

Yes. The message is longer trips reduce the MPG hit you take in the first 10 minutes of driving.

grrrrr, I guess the big laughy face was the wrong emoticon to indicate that I was laughing/joking about "pious Prius," but, btw, most of my trips are a similar distance, the major difference is that it is a fairly flat stretch between here and the synagogue, no hills, less gas.
Ah well, so much for a semi funny.....

    t & r,

Don't be discouraged by a poker-faced, straight response to your humor. It's just a matter of who happens to see it first.

I am glad to see more Jewish PC members. We have no solid idea how many Jews are here, but so far there's been only one or two whose screen name and/or comments openly describe himself/themselves as Jewish.

Has your rabbi performed the necessary procedures to make your Prius kosher? :)

aiiiiiiiiie, someday soon I will have to learn to operate the "word processing" particulars of this site so that I can truely use quotes and fonts and bold, etc. For now though I will indicate yours with >

    >I am glad to see more Jewish PC members. We have no solid idea how many Jews are here, but so far >there's been only one or two whose screen name and/or comments openly describe himself/themselves as >Jewish.

Normally, outside of FHOP, I imagine there would be little reason other than because of a chosen screen name, for religion to be addressed. My guess is we have a very diverse religious representation here

    >Has your rabbi performed the necessary procedures to make your Prius kosher? :)

No, but a few days after we picked it up, he (our Rabbi) said he'd have to trim its tailpipe soon. <BEG>

    Good to "see" you again,

    >but i thought it was a very cute funny-- w/or w/out the smiley face.

Thanks, Palau, it is so easy and comfortable to humanize these wonderful cars of ours, I'm glad a few others caught my iffy humor.
I am also glad though, that the non humerous person was willing to share some Prius info, on the chance that I hadn't any clue.

I'm also Jewish (Israeli) in Palo Alto... we have at least 3 Priuses in our small congregation and even one EV driver.

In the South Park Hybrid episode instead of Prius the Jewish guy's car says Prius. The Insight says Hindisight instead...
