I really like the combination of the pinstripe and the side moldings, John. Gives the car, which IMO has an otherwise ungainly vertical aspect, a more horizontal look.

I put a 1" headlight-to-taillight side molding on my silver '04, and in combination with the other black/plastic Prius parts, I think it fits in as a color-contrast aid, too.

I recommend all Prius owners, especially ones who aren't going to put side moldings on, to at least pin-stripe.

 Just got my new Prius. Averaged 52 mpg over the first 500 miles - mostly city driving. How are you doing?

Welcome DMonster and guahog, glad to have you aboard.

DMonster, red is a good color, looks really great.

Guahog, I take it you got package 0. I tried to get package 0 but was having a problem with the dealer ether not knowing what he was talking about or just lying. I’m pretty sure it was the latter. He’s located in your town. After two trips from Little River area he just keep lying to me and changing the deal again. I had walked out on him once and decided to give him another chance. What a mistake, so I walked out on him again and drove straight to Orangeburg and wrote them a check. He called me just as I was getting to Orangeburg trying to get me to come back but I told him that I was 10 minuets from handing Orangeburg Toyota a check.

Buy the way, what color did you get.

    Questions for both of you:
    Who did you buy from?
How long did you have to wait?
Have you made any modifications yet?
What Mods are you planning on getting if any?
What are your thoughts on the car?

I have been very impressed with mine. Of course there are things that I don’t like, but I knew about them before I purchased.

I have spent a fortune on mine, but most of it was necessary. I’m getting about 48/49 MPG, which isn’t bad considering that I run the crap out of it. I basically use it as a truck, that’s right a truck. Yesterday I was pulling a trailer that was bigger than the car. I was only getting in the 20’s with that on. I get about 46 MPG when driving 80 MPH on I95, I think that’s good.

If you have any questions on Mods, let me know. I probably have whatever your thinking of getting.
