    nope, not needed/
    the only thing that can happen is that you mechanically unhook the door looks - you will not be able to lock the door nemore, but nothing else can happen.
    it's just two screws & then you pry it off/

    Nah I just got an low budget ebay one. Its not bad but it was mainly to delete the wiper nozzle since I haven't had a rear wiper in like 5 years.

    Never installed one, but I can say that removing a Prius door panel is really easy. Just remove two Philips screws, pry out starting at the bottom, and disconnect the door sill light, then the door opener and door lock cables. It's very simple. The hardest part is keeping the panel in a safe spot in your garage so that it doesn't get scratched.

    There are plenty of videos on YouTube.

    I've installed it then quickly uninstalled it. Remember to route the wiring away from the window regulators because they will shred the wiring as soon as you open the window. $50 down the drain. :(
