A while ago people wrote complaining if they had a dealer installed Sirius radio, there was serious static, esp. on talk radio stations. I had the problem. I had it fixed at Longo Toyota. It took me a while to get someone to tell me what the fix was. Apparently, the wire that goes from the Sirius radio to the indash radio needed to be replaced. It has something to do with the thickness of the wire. On radios installed since about April, the fix is incorporated into the install and there shouldn't be a problem any more. Sorry, it took long enough to get just this little bit of information, I have nothing more specific. So, if you have serious Sirius static on your dealer installed Sirius, your dealer should be able to fix it.

Is it possible for you to look at the sticker on the cable and give us the part number and possibly take a picture of the connector at the tuner end of the cable to look for possible jumper positions? I am very interested in seeing if this is a cable thickness issue or if they used jumpers on some of the unused pins.

Bringing this thread back to life - what cable is this, and where might one purchase one?
