Guessing it's not taken out of the headroom, but don't know yet. Perhaps one of our moderators can comment on the headroom in the back seat. Not aware of any official numbers out yet.

The wife will be getting a new car, maybe as soon as the end of this year. The Prime is about 1 of 5 cars we are currently considering for her. At 6'2 I barely fit (headroom) in the back of the Gen 4 lift back and my own PiP. Wondering if I can translate the Gen 4 lift back fit test to the Prime.

The vehicle is wider and longer. It was reported as ~1" lower. That could be done by dropping the car 1" or decreasing headroom 1" or some combination of the two. I seem to recall hearing that the ground clearance was lower. Not sure that accounts for the full 1".

Probably just the gnd clearance. It's already a tight fit in the gen4

Keep in mind that the press material is referring to the OLD Prius PHV. So the 1" reduction in height is basically expected because it's the same as the Gen 4 vs. Gen 3. All comparisons are done to the PiP and not Gen 4.

@Tideland Prius. I was looking at the photos of the nice looking wheels on the Prime and can't see the lug nuts. What am I missing?

@bisco can probably answer this but their focus group had us go from nice alloys to wheel covers

I'm also beginning to believe Toyota's focus group got a checklist of what was no longer needed. Next wish list we're checking off the obvious:

    Engine
4 Wheels and Tires (don't laugh)
    Motor
    Battery Pack
2 Adult sized seats in the front
    .......

    Not very long while driving.

I guess there is some kind of a removable plastic wheel cover. It is different from what I am used to seeing on other Prius and I was curious.

bisco's way of sayin' he doesn't mind the wheel covers. They cover up the lug nuts.

It's a full wheel cover over alloys, same as Gen 4.

Lug nut display comes and go like the fashion industry. In the 90s, it was all about that smooth finish and covering up the lug nuts. Then the new millennium came and it was cool to show off your lugnuts and exposed lug nuts became the norm. Now I'm noticing the return to covered lug nuts.

You're right. Sorry. I meant to say it's the same as the Gen 4. I've edited to clarify.
