Hey all. Like many of you, I was very frustrated with the fact that my new Prius would automatically play media from my phone immediately after connecting my Nexus 5X via Bluetooth. After finding unacceptable answers online, I eventually figured it out. This will work on any recent Android phone.
    • Install Trigger from the Play Store.
    • Create a new task (the + button on the bottom right).
    • On the next screen, press the + button on the top-right corner and to create a new trigger.
    • Select Bluetooth, and then choose "when connected to" and choose the Prius from the list of devices (it may ask you to enable BT first).
    • Click Next, and then done. Back at the trigger screen, press + to choose an action. Under Media, choose the "stop media playback" checkbox. Click Next.
    • Name your task, Then click Done.
    • That's it! Now, when you connect to your car BT audio, it will immediately kill the autoplay feature! Hurray.

PS if you have a phone with NFC, you can use Trigger to do cool stuff. I set mine to turn on BT/disable wifi and connect to the Prius; if I tap again it turns it off. Pretty cool!
