And what would the price be if it came from Harley Davidson? Just say'in, because anything below $200 seems like a bargain, really.

EDIT: Oh, wait. That's for each. Times two for the pair. OK, not so good. But then Harley's would still be ~$700 if they made something like this.

They started making (or copying) them already. A few days ago he sent me an email saying it'll take 20 days for them to finish the first batch. They finished the shell...now they're doing the circuit board & assembly.

Here is another email from Mr Bell:

"Prius 2016 fog lamp TY039H are ok in 10 days later. The shells are making by the injection machine now.
And MOQ is 120 sets, as it's the newest model. If you check the order early, the lights can be sent to you firstly in your market.
    Best regards,
    Jeck Bell"

I'm seriously considering buying a set of the official Toyota ones since this was my next mod after getting the car. This was the one thing that I wished the 4 (non touring) had standard. I think it's missing something in front with those nasty grey inserts in there.

Can anyone tell me how the lighting goes on the 4 Touring? Does it turn on as DRLs? Does it go full light mode when the headlights are on and foglight mode is on? That would help to know if there is a staged output there.

If you buy the Toyota parts, will it be covered with the Toyota factory warranty?

The price is a little stiff but the LEDs may last a lifetime of the car...vs. chinese made fog LEDs may get burned out in a few months?? But anyhow, the one without the fog looks so ugly (that grey plastic cover).

I'm sure there is a cob or LED light cube that can be retro fitted into the existing cavity. Believe it might just be a simple tap into current drl wires.
I guess after this mod, we'll be chasing Euro rear fog diy ;-)

The fog light replica from China is done and price is $100/set. Unfortunately you have to order 100 set. I guess in another 6 months you will start seeing them on ebay. Probably retail for about $150-200/set. At $200 I'm not sure if one should just go with oem for reliability.

No, the Chinese replica or oem only comes with the fogs. You will have to wait for some after market company to come up with a kit (fogs, wiring harness and p

Just got off the phone with Cool Spring Toyota in TN. I was quoted a price of $279.25 for each fog light (Toyota's own for the 2016 Prius), and would need a relay and switch. All in for two fog lights, the installation and relay ans switch I was quoted a price of "around $1,000". Seems kind of high to me.

I also inquired about the Auto Dimming Powered Rear View mirror and was quoted about $800 for the mirror and would need new wiring. All in around $1200. Like I said, this seems high to me.

If the Toyota lights are like 3rd gen, they're not very effective, almost purely cosmetic. Maybe just go with Frederick's mod: remove the black blank covers and spray them with body color.

    It does seem high!
It depends if you plan to wire through the firewall and install a switch.
I plan to tap in to the fuse box and connect to a headlight fuse.
Others with more wiring knowledge may offer more insight.
I did buy an after market fog lights, and install it myself on my Camry Hybrid.

Or just tap in some cob eBay LED DRL in the grill area or make something fancy like the multiple Cree LED penny sized ones on the dimples on the existing fog light blanking plate. So many options. So much cheaper.
I'd probably set them to come on with existing DRL Amber's.

Incidentally, anyone changed their Amber's to white LED or switchbacks?
Would be nice to change the incandescent turn signals to LED and also the amber led DRL to white.
Only thing that turned me off in the past is the load resistors and the heat they generate.

I bought a 4th Gen Model Two...While I like the Touring look I didn't feel like paying $31,000 for it...on top of that ii preferred the NiMH traction battery and spare tire...didn't really care much for the other features that came with the higher trim models cause its not like I'm going to use it, they'll be just features that I pay for but never use and the base model has more than enough hehehe ...

I'm almost done making my model Two into a Touring version...

*Got 17" Original Factory Wheels from ebay for $900 with tires
(Dealer don't even sell these right now and its like $2500 no tires)

    *Got Aero Side Splitters ($300)

-Waiting for Leather Car Seat Covers from Clazzio ($500)
-Waiting for Rear Spoiler Lip molding ($100)
-Waiting for Tanabe lowering springs ($200)
-Will be getting Fog Lights eventually when aftermarket LED versions come out
(Since the 4th Gen are pretty new the parts are not available yet...I got rear ended last month and the dealer had my car for almost a month before I got it back cause of parts availability, basically they had to get my parts straight from the factory)

Basically I'm building a 2016 PRIUS Two that's going to look a lot better than a Three Touring or Four Touring and I'm not even close to the $31,000 sticker price!

Keep in mind though that upgrading your original factory 15" wheels to the factory 17" wheels will give you a little less MPG...I was getting around average 54-mpg on the 15" and when I upgraded to the 17" I was down to 51-mpg...its a eco to style trade off ... but wasn't really a big difference for me...

    I'm calling mine a model Two-Touring Plus ^_^
