Dealer got me today o_O $245.00 for the 12 volt battery, interesting thing in that it is a true Toyota battery not a True Start brand for Toyota.

Welcome Eddie and congrats on your latest pickup! The tint looks great, what percentage did you go with?

Ouch. I need to replace mine soon too but I think I'm going to go for the optima rather than the OEM one.

Depends on where you live in cali and if your prius does not stand out, which pretty much all of us on this forum is not in "stock" mode anymore. I live like in the country where you see tumbleweeds the size of my car and all you see is cows and goats (for now).

For tint, I did 80 front, 35 front, 28 rear, 15 from the small back windows to the trunk. Transitional gradient. Might do pin stripe and gloss roof next just getting price quotes. For the socal guys here any recommendation?

I am an old school head and thinking of going to "modern image" remember them (maybe)?

It might be a little far if you're in the country but the team at Impressive Wrap in El Monte does fantastic work.

You should be fine unless you're doing something else like excessive speeding. I have 15% all around and 5% on my windshield visor and haven't gotten hassled in a while. I bet now that I've said that though, I'm going to into some trouble for it haha

What made you decide on replacing your 12v battery (assuming on your C1)?

Its 4 years old, they seem to last 4 to 5 years, rather be proactive and replace before my dash lights up like a Christmas tree!

Who we really need to worry about are the CHP's since they are all about "safety." I've been side by side with a domestic cop numerous times in a light with my windows up and we just go on our way. In the freeway is a different story I would roll down my front windows to avoid a ticket :cautious:, but if I do get pulled over for tinted windows I just have my brother in law sign it off again :p (like the 8th time.. all by CHP's ).

Oh yeah, almost forgot if you do get pulled over by a Sheriff never call them officer. Call them Sheriff or Deputy they've earned it........ all tips from my brother in law (y)
