Hi all - longtime lurker. I sadly have to sell my baby - a 2004 Blue Prius with 27K miles on it. It's the package (I think #4?) with the wireless key entry. I live in the chicagoland area, and would love to sell it to another fan. It's in excellent shape - I've cared for it quite a bit. I'm going off the Kelly Blue Book value, but am willing to neogtiate on prices. Kick me word, and let's get this going.

Just FYI, 2006 Priuses are going for about the same price as you're asking for your 04, and the 2007 probably will too. I think you'd need to ask for less than what you paid for it when it was brand new...

The package I have kicked it up to past $24K (I just doubled checked, and package 5 on the '06 is $24,130MSRP), so I am in fact selling it for less than I paid. And I'm more than willing to negotiate, and whoever buys it can have it ASAP if there are still queues out there.

I think the other poster's point is that after the $3150 tax credit that pkg 5 '06 car is only $21,000. It's brand new, full warranty, improvements as listed on this site, etc. '04's are holding their value well, esp. with gas prices like they are. You may get your asking price (I hope you do) from someone who wants a car "NOW" and won't get on the multi-week waiting list, but that's probably not going to be the average person on this forum. Dropping to close to $20k will definately increase your marketability.

Ya know, I completely forgot about there being a rebate (it's increased handsomely since I got mine). Ok - I'm dropping the price to near $20K. I'll repost later. Thanks!
