Since our prius is our new baby toting car, we decided to get the back windows and the rear window tinted to make it cooler for our baby. I didn't shop around, just went with the dealer referred site. It was $110 for life time warranty. I could have been cheap and got $70 for the 2 year warranty.
I spent about $550 for my tint. I went with the Huper Optik Drei. Duno where you are but in Phoenix, AZ tint is important!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(burritos @ May 18 2006, 05:11 PM) </div> Mine was $200 for all windows (including the little front ones) except the windshield and the lower rear one in the hatch. 5 year warranty.
$170 with lifetime warrantee/guarantee. Found the referral for the detail shop around here awhile ago, and cannot recommend the detailer/tinter enough. Have been very happy with the results.
I spent $50 for everything except windshield. $40 plus $10 shipping. Bought it off ebay. I got all 35% VLT and installed them myself. I had a great time installing and in the process I learned how to do it. I started from the smallest first then rear windows. Next was front window... boy it was tough because it is very long and not as flat. Then the rear hatch was the biggest and hardest because of the defogger wires and the tint has to stick up. However, after doing two front windows, the hatch was not as big learning curve any more. I am satisfy with the look. Dennis
Llumar atr 20. Approx 50% total energy rejection $175 including front windshield strip. Legal in NM, but not in some other states.
I just got my windows tinted this past week at the same place as Rancid13.....Picture Perfect in Signal Hill, near Long Beach, CA. Richard (I think he's the owner) offers a $20 discount to all Priuschat members. The out the door price is $170.00 for all windows with the exception of the front windshield. Picture Perfect tints the windows for the local Toyota dealership in Long Beach (as mentioned before.) I'm not sure what brand is used, but it came out real nice and it's a lifetime warantee.
$180 for LlumarStar ATR 30 on all windows. Has anyone noticed dust spots in their tint? Being new to window tint, I was surprised to see what look like little blemishes near the tops of a few on my windows. Apparently it is from dust or other airborne particles that get stuck to the film or window during application. I had my shop redo the front two windows and I am waiting for them to dry before checking again.

I just paid $170.00 to get everything done from the rear seats back, done with Llumar Platinum Plus. The installer claimed this product would not interfere with the NAV unit. Must work because I found my way back home…..
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(burritos @ May 18 2006, 05:11 PM) </div> nothing ours came tinted from the factory
I had all my windows done, including an 8" strip at the top of the windshield at a place in Rosemead, CA (he'll also come out to your house or business). His tinting work was very good and he gives a lifetime warranty. I did all the windows in an 85% almost-limo black, which looks really good on the magnetic gray. I also had him do the 3M Clear Bra on the front of the car, including the lights/fog lights. I got 24" of coverage on the hood and fenders and comes with a 5 year warranty. The total cost for everything was $620 out the door and I'm very pleased with his work! If you only want the tint work, it would be $140.
$500 for the Huber Optik 35 tint on all windows and a 8" stip at the top of the windshield. It gets 71% solar reflection and lifetime warranty. I think between that and the complete Dynamat it reduced my A/C usage significantly.
