New Prius Owner!

    Back in the summer of 2014 I rented a Prius a couple times for long trips, and after that the wife and I knew what car we wanted next! Our family of four easily fit in it (including luggage), and we averaged 53MPG during 4,500 miles of driving.

    The day finally came a week ago: we replaced our 25 year old Mazda (original owners) with a 2010 Prius! My wife wanted blue, and I wanted Package 5. We didn't think we'd get both, but we did, and the Technology package too. We're very happy with it!

    As I have been looking up things online via Google, this forum kept popping up in my search results, and it has been a wealth of information, so I knew it was time to join.

    I've already purchased Carista due to reading about it here and gotten rid of that annoying reverse beep!

    I look forward to hanging out with what looks like a great bunch of Prius owners!

    We got our money's worth out of that Mazda! It was a good car. Was a bit sad to see it go (I donated it to Make A Wish). But the Prius is awesome!

    90,000 miles. We drive about 10,000 a year, so it's going to last us a long time! It also has aftermarket window tinting, which I was planning to do, so that saved me a few hundred bucks. Gray leather interior. No floor mats, so we have some on order.

    Similarly, in 2014 my 2011 Prius replaced my 34-year-old Mazda, of which I was the original owner, and which showed a bit over 606,000 miles. Donated it to local public radio+TV.

    WOW! over 600K miles?!? That's amazing! Mine was "low mileage" - only 225K :)
