Is your check engine light on? What you're describing is from your failed Hybrid Battery

OK. Sorry for the delay. I got in my car this morning and started it up. Hybrid battery was in good shape. But I ran it for a minute in the car port and all the lights came on. I do not know what the codes are yet. I wanted to get an opinion before I took it up to a shop for codes. I was watching the hybrid battery while I had it on for approximately two minutes. The hybrid went down to 0 from a decent charge then that is when the check engine lights came on. I turned it off and also checked the 12V out of curiosity. It was still 12V which is as good as I can get out of it right now. But since it is pretty much dead, could that be what was going on? Was the hybrid trying to charge the 12V? I know there is not much to do without the codes, but I wanted to ask if you guys thought it was OK to at least drive it 2 miles to my store to get the codes?

One more thing, while I had the car on, there was a squeaking/chirping sound coming from the engine. The first thing I thought of was a pump running dry. Any ideas? On and off chirp and only a brief second at a time.

No, I have never seen it go completely blank. It had one bar. But it happened within a minute or two after starting the car

Yes. But I do know I had a dead 12V to start with. It osculated from dead to mostly charged to dead to fully charged in the 10-15 minutes until I parked it fully charged. It was mostly charged this morning and went dead almost right away before it gave me the code. I was hoping to find out if it would be unwise to drive it 2 miles or so to my shop to get the code? I just got one of those wifi OBI thingys. If I get it figured out, I will try to get the codes myself.

    How many miles?

What you describe is classic failure of both batteries. The Hybrid battery needs to be replaced.

Your first posts says Dorman replaced your bad hv battery, if that's the case, you have another bad battery to replace
