I just had a marvelous time shopping for accessories for my Prius. My son went with me so the car is now a bit mixed up in the do I want to portray "green" or "kids will think this is cool" look. I found quite a few nice extras for the Prius, such as steering wheel cover, matching seat cover, window decals, cell phone holder, and mudflaps!! After returning home of course we just HAD to install-apply-photograph most of the new goodies! Which got me to thinking what extra's non-performance related have you folks gotten for your Prius?
BTW I have ordered the WAY more cool looking Shark Fin antenna from PriusChat*brown nose here* :p

Chrome Valve Caps are a MUST! ...and a bargain at around $3.

Plus, the rear bumper protector has already taken a few hits that would have been scratches on the painted bumper.

But, best and cheapest of all was removing the plastic wheel rings and exposing the full alloy wheels.

Just got a bumper protector from my dealer installed yesterday. It looks great. I also love the Weathertec cargo tray I bot a few weeks ago. My next purchase will be the leather cover for the center console, and I'm looking into window tinting, door guards, and side moulding.

We have a whole forum for you! I am of course above all of that accessories stuff. Yep straight up no chaser. BTW I just got the leather arm rest and the new display hood today!! I "needed" a new display hood as the old cloth one was sagging and you can't be seen driving around with a sagging hood, can you?

I have the side moldings, a custom "Love my Prius" license plate frame and front seat covers and center concole cover all in matching hawaiian print (red, of course!). I also bought the display hood and waterproof floor/cargo mats. Oh, and does the BT plate count?
My leather display hood has sagged in the middle, too. Been meaning to bring it in and insert something to straighten it out.

    - Clearmask (had and then removed due to looking like an amateur installed after I, an amateur, installed it :p)
    - Factory front-end mask (after giving up on the clearmask :/) looks nice though, on the black car
    - Dog pad for the back cargo area (forget the name, but the dealer had it)
    - Dog barrier... this took some work to install, since I wanted the dog to be able to reach a window. Seats down, I left the little cups off the bottom of the poles, and inserted the pole bottoms into the baby carrier sockets on the back of the seats. Works very well, and Gabe can stick his head out the window whenever he likes, while still being kept out of the front seats.
    - Aftermarket leather to get my '06 package #7 up where I wanted it. I chose heated seats and perforated leather, so it's a bit nicer than I could have gotten with a package #8 anyway.
    - Toyota rubber mats. On top of the carpet ones, of course :) since that helps a bit with noise.
    - Speaking of noise... the one thing I did not like when test driving the Prius, was the road noise on the crappy California grooved highways. So I swapped the tires to Goodyear Assurance Comfortread. Much better. Not as quiet as my 4Runner, but a big improvement.

    My three favorites are:
    1. Prius Hood for display (Robin Hoods on ebay)
    2. Power outlet tap to make certain the front power outlet works at all times- not just when the car runs.
    3. Side mouldings

and I forgot- rear bumper cover- some use the Prius one and there is another hard black plastic one on ebay quite a number of people buy....

    Also - sun shades!

I've had my Prius for just over a month - got my license plate yesterday!

So far, I've got the hood and leather center console cover, dashboard cover, driver's side leather dash cover and glove compartment cover in black leather from Robin on eBay. I haven't got them all 'installed' yet, since I need a second person to get the dash cover smoothed out before I velcro it. But the hood really cuts down glare in bright sunshine.

I may not install the console cover (gray leather, the other items are black) because I'm getting leather seats (gray) on June 1, and I think that includes a console cover.

I've got the side moldings and bumper cover, also, and I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow (it did all last week) so I can get them installed tomorrow afternoon.

I've ordered the black all-weather floor mats that say "Prius", and I'll be ordering a cargo mat - haven't decided between ExactMat or Weathertech.

I also bought canvas Case Logic cargo totes from Bed, Bath and Beyond - makes it easy to carry 'large loads' in and out of the house, and I have the cargo net that came with my car, as well as the extra carpet/cargo mats.

Nose deflector - looks great. Someone actually stopped me in a drive through line to ask where I got it. Couldn't tell you how many rock dings I've seen on it that would have been in my paint.

Leather bra, lower section - don't need the upper section with the deflector

Wet Okole seat covers - marvelous!

    Can-View - a geek's dream

Mud flaps - easy, and usefull

Sticks-to-the-glass pull-across sunscreen - easy to use, so I dont' foget it as much

Trailer hitch - oh, so handy

Rear-view camera - never back into a pole

Add-on audio input - gotta have those mp3's

    What exactly are winter lips?

Wow such a neat list of accessories! Thanks to all for replying. I know there is an accessories forum but when I browse through it most of the posts are performance related. I was more interested in other bling people had gotten. So many great ideas.
Now to work on customizing the paint job :D I'll post pics when I'm done.

A big amen here especially for the new plastic hood!!!! She (he) is putting him her self out of business on this one! I have the original corduroy sunshade that developed the sags after a bit more than a year. The new one is good for the life of the car!

THE Winter LIPS are here: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=19256&st=20 . Way cool and I don't think that I would have searched for another solution but that would be here: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=1...adiator+blocker . OK I am fond of the latter only because I did it! Frank solution is elegant and simple, and if I would have interpleaded the various threads I may have done that. The solution I came up with worked but was butt ugly. One has to do what one has to do!
