Ok I bought my car on March 6th I drove it all the way up until about 4 weeks ago..it drove perfect but the red triangle popped up so we went & had it scanned and it said replace hybrid battery pack we didn't have any money so my fiance bought a new cell and replaced the one that was bad and then when he put it back in it popped up again red triangle, brake system warning, & hybrid system warning so we took it to Toyota and let them read the codes I have pictures of below & of my dash board just please help we're out of all ideas and without a car TIA 1464922720912.jpg 1464922725960.jpg 1464922730201.jpg 1464922735020.jpg 1464922748971.jpg 1464922774620.jpg 1464922783891.jpg

No not that we know of I have the title, when I took it to the dealership he said that the car had never been taking to a dealship cause he had no record of it but I think a lot of those codes are old were ordering a code reader tomorrow to see if we are getting different codes now..we had them clear those after he printed them out

    Check 12V

"old" codes are the ones with "X" in ONLY the "Hist" column for historical. Everything else is current.

P0A0D = orange safety plug not installed. 1) Insert, 2) lever up to fully seat and 3) shift downward to engage the interlock:

Start with those two things. If that doesn't correct a lot of it, pull the side cover where the cables attach and confirm that all connectors are properly seated at the back of the pack on the driver's side.

If you're fiance hacked the pack like so many people demonstrate on youtube, there's a good chance something got damaged.

    Good luck,

    Steve

Currently no codes are showing besides code for the coolant flow valve sensor yet triangle is on as well as ABS light and traction control button will not work

    What's the traction control button?

I suspect your reader is not capable of properly pulling codes.

Check the 12v voltage and reset the car. Lock in the orange interlock properly and try to start the car

We check the voltage in the 12v it's showing fully charged we checked the orange interlock it looks like it's all the way in but will recheck do you think it could have anything to do with the brakes since that lights up every time the triangle does? & if he did accidently messed up something would it throw a code for it?

The car needs to start. The interlock has to be pushed down to lock in place. Then disconnect the 12v to briefly reset the car. Then try to restart.

Any braking issue would not prevent the car from starting.

If it still won't start, then most likely you have a problem with the hv battery.....rebuilding

Like we can reset it, the code goes away and I can drive it for like 20 mins then the code comes back on and eventually after that it goes in to safe mode or what my fiance calls it where it won't run but like 20 mph if it was the hybrid battery would the car still turn on?

Ok, after that explanation, it's your hv battery that has issues. You need to replace the failed modules. There's probably more than what you replaced.

Yes the car will start even with a bad hv battery.

Measure the voltages of each individual module and go from there
