    You might want to check Pepboys, Target and those sorts of stores. I seem to recall someone posting a while back about finding a great fitting liner for a really reasonable price.

    Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately here in rural Vermont the choice of stores is very limited (no Target, pep boys). Mail order is our friend ;)

    Any suggestions for mail order? Wanting to support Prius chat I would first consider buying from here if price/quality were comparable.

    I would go with WeatherTech. They're a little pricey, but they fit great and are of good quality.

    What about protecting the carpeted *sides* in the cargo area? I see tons of mats and liners but they cover only the bottom part.

    I found a place online that makes the side pieces to order, and they attach with velcro that are sewn to the underside of the pieces and just naturally stick to the carpeted sides of the cargo area, so there's no need to attach the corresponding velcro to the sides. Only $30 for a pair and they are custom fit. In the meantime I just used the same foam material I use to protect the cargo floor:
