Here are some picture of the mounted led bar.
I ended up doing it in a hurry to make it work for a trip.
My first mount was therefore wrong (the one you see in the pictures).
The led bar touched the grill and had to be moved 4-5 cm further back. This was quickly fixed.
When I came back from the trip, I replaced the wire harness with a better one, put in more bolts and
made everything look clean and nice. And washed the car!!!

Result: If you are looking for more light and don't want to alter the look of your car too much
(like me), this will do the trick. The output is... as mentioned above... like 10-12 headlights :)

NB! This is a lot of light. With a little help from xliderider, it was wired so it would turn off
when you turn your high beams off. It is pretty strong for oncoming traffic. Use it when you
are alone on the road. Or get a smaller led bar. Thanks to everyone that helped!

I will post a picture of the led bar at work, but was hoping for some nicer weather.

    The mount is solid!

The led bar can be adjusted to point more up or down. I went with straight ahead.

The grill does not get in the way. The output is a 20 or 30 degree cone.

Here is a quick drawing of the cabling. I hope I got it right.

Good job Palulf. Any pics at night with and without light bar on?

Been thinking about this for a while, only problem is I wanted behind the grill but with all the snow in the mountains of Colorado my grill is usually packed with snow at the end of a ski trip. thinking maybe putting it on my roof rack but doing one that is easily detachable with a quick clip so I don't look completely ridiculous when I get back to the city

So did those brackets come with the light or did you have them made or buy them?

No, the light comes with 4 brackets underneath that are cushioned by rubber. I just bought 4 "L" shaped brackets, cheap, at the local hardware store for them to be bolted on to. I also turned the led bar upside down.

Like these. Less than a dollar a piece. Just get them long enough as the
let bar need to be moved a bit further back than on the pictures.

    Then I bought M5 bolts (5mm x 4 or 5cm) and "stopping" nuts.

The bumper is about 5mm aluminium. My bolts were not long enough to go all the way through both layers so at one point I thought I had to stop working, but then I just drilled 4,5mm holes and let the bolts make their own threading. That worked well, but I might have to fix that later.

I should have made a better guide, as some of the guides in here are really good,
but when I did it, it all happened so fast and it is a rather simple mod :)

I purchased the HID bulbs with the separate ballast for my fog lights and they light up the road pretty good on really dark nights. I purchased the 6000k bulbs. I also did the osram H9 conversion for my headlights as I couldn't see at all while driving at night on my 2011 model. I have a 30" LED bar I purchased 6 months ago and wanted to insert in my grill flush. Had all the tools to do until I found out the whole front area was plastic. Will attempt again with some brackets.

    sorry for the delay.
My wife's father had to go to the hospital so it has been a busy weekend.
The weather has also been nothing but heavy rain. No winter wonder land in sight.

I did take the car out for a spin tonight, just to discover that after I cleaned up the install, the led bar now points too much down. This was... a bit disappointing so I opted no to take any pictures. I am sorry. I'll try to get the front off and adjust it as soon as possible...

    BETTER WAY.

Simply flip the horns and make some brackets and mount a 20" Rough Country Cree light bar (dual row).

    IMG_20150731_160915:nopm:.jpg
There is is mounted. It is hovering approx. 1/2" from the top radiatior. I've taken temperature readings and it has not affected anything. Horns seem louder since they needed to be flipped around. I centered to the Toyota logo. Here is the final product. IMG_20150731_160348.jpg Please keep in mind I told the photo before I secured the bumper back up. does great at night. At least 9000 lumens. Best thing is the side blocks of floods on the light bar are still shining without any obstacles. I get "is that a prius?!?" All the time. Its one of the sportist versions I've seen. I'll leave you with two other photos of the epicness. IMG_20150731_184001.jpg IMG_20150731_213547:nopm:.jpg the split is more the well in front of the car. Sorry, I can summit another if needed guys.
