Im looking to get some all weather floor mats. I have a friend in the service department that tells me the floor mats are crap but the cargo mat is actually pretty good, and another friend that sell all the aftermarket stuff that is telling me to go for the weathertech floor mats.

Im partial to at least the oem cargo mat with the extensions going up the back of the seat. does anyone have these? I cant find any youtube reviews. Do you like them? I'd like to hear opinions of weathertech owners as well. The only weathertech mats ive seen wobble around a little and didnt seem to be a perfect fit.

the weathertech floor mats is what i got for MY14, but at $400 for the complete set kind of pricey. But, they are way over the top great. They fit the 2014 Prius like a glove.
Last I checked the DigitalFit FloorLiner for the 2016 Prius are not available. I went ahead and got the all weather Toyota version off ebay as I got tired of waiting.

I also got the 2016 Toyota Prius OEM Cargo Tray without Spare Tire PT908-47162. I have not installed the seat backs part but the tray is good.

How are the seat backs installed? is it just a strap that goes over the head rests?

My gen 4 came with the all weather mats. A bit pricey from Toyota. They look like the weather tech I would have gotten anyway.

The cargo mats for the Seat backs are held on with Velcro dots, and a Velcro stripe on the bottom (close to the floor part).

I think my dealer / Toyota sent the wrong floor mats with my Four Touring, I did not receive the little mat part that would go on the vertical lower cargo area as it raises up to the seat (~2-3 inches)

For my back seat (not for passengers) I bought a $15 Walmart pet seat cover, and will use a carpet on the floor (I need stuff to slide out, not drag on the mats).

the strap you see in the photo is for the Walmart pet seat cover

The "exposed" fabric between the seat and the floor is attached to the floor cover, it remains vertical when the seats are down (its not protected, I believe it should be if I had the correct cargo mat)

I had the weather tech matts for the entire car in my Rav4. Yes, they were pricey, but your paying for quality. You will have them for the entire lifespan the car. I tend to spill things and etc. very easily and they continuously did the job done and saved me cleaning time! Yes, you can probably get cheaper matts that can do the job too. However, for the 2016 Prius, weather tech does not have matts yet.

I wish the ones that cam with the Prius covered the entire back. I wonder if the weather tech ones will cover the entire back or not... They are not out yet, but we will see! I love the leaf though :)

I sent an email to Weathertech asking when the floors mats for the Gen 4 Prius would be available and here was their response.

Lance - Thank you for contacting WeatherTech.

The FloorLiners for the 2016 Prius is still in design with an ETA of about 8 weeks. We would recommend filling out our product request from, linked below, to be notified via email when they’re up for sale on the website.

(Link removed because I have not posted enough on this forum to post links)

If you have any further questions please let us know.

    Thank you,

I also contact Husky about their floor mats and they said they would be available in about 2 weeks.

Mine came with the carpeted, but I bit the bullet and ended up ordering the Toyota all weather, as well as the matching cargo mat. Completely worth it in my opinion. I just did a 3K mile road trip with a lot of luggage/gear in the back, and was very pleased. The only thing i'd like (as already mentioned) is a cover for the hump in the back seat floor board.

I had WeatherTech floor liners in a 2011 Prius Two and I have them in a 2014 Avalon. I live in a Chicago suburb and they are great protection for winter weather. I leave mine in year round. I like them.

FWIW I sprung for WeatherTech mats for our new 2016 Prius v Three. They fit very well and I am very happy I bought them. A bit pricey but worth it IMHO...

We will end up ordering the WeatherTech ones since we live in Chicago and can just drive to the factory--especially since it covers the hump in the back.

You will have to wait... They don't have the digital fit mats or the all weather mats yet, just the generic mats that you cut to fit. The digital fit and all weather ones seem the most like the OEM ones.

The seat-back portions of the rear Cargo Tray are held on with VERY strong velcro. No loop around the head rest.

Our 4 came with the all weather mats. Waiting 2 months for it I had plenty of time to shop accessories. Having ordered a full set for our 16 pilot I can say that the front weathertech mats are nice but the same cannot be Said for the 2nd,3rd (in my case) and cargo liner. They are made much more flimsy than the fronts. Where can hold the front up by a corner and it will not bend. The other mats will flop around. Either it's half as thick or a different material or both. I suppose they will still do the job it's just that I noticed a big difference. Being that the fronts are the flagship the emphasis seems to have been spent on them. Now, as far as the OEM all weather mats for the Pri. They did not have the same coverage but look like they will have me holding off my weathertech purchase. All the mats are cons

I like the oem liner. Knowing what the weathertech liner is like now i would have purchased the oem over it. Like I said the fronts are a different matter. Weathertech is more substantial and has better coverage.
