Gen 4 Aero side splitters

Finally got it! Here's another white... replaced the rims too...but he needs cleaned up before I attempt any more pictures, lol.

I have also found in my brief stint with them they are very good at collecting water spots and dirt, lol.

My Aero side splitter accessory, from eBay, has arrived yesterday without the hardware bag.
There were no metal parts within the splitter assembly as someone mentioned in this topic.

I found 5/32" x 1/4" rivet at Home Depot ; plus the rivet tool from Harbor Freight tools.
Thus, six hangers were put on today.

I am still waiting for the 8 mm ratchet fasteners to come.
I can hear wind noise while driving without the final two long splitters.
(Toyota dealer provide a seven pages installation instruction through TIS.)

Here is the installation guide printed out by Toyota dealer.
I did jack the rear of the car up and used separate jack to lift up each side of the front wheel while
performing the drilling and riveting processes.

 

While I am waiting for the plastic fasteners to come on Monday,
what type of fastener is suitable To be used for side splitters.
A. a two pieces push in fastener or
B. a single ratchet type like the instruction sheet shown ?

 

I used the simpler push in type shown above

That simpler push in type should be B, the single piece one !

 

The retaining fasteners arrived today.
Two side splitters were snap in by those latches built-in.

The 20 fastener is just holding 6 hangers and 2 splitters together.

 

Well ! I do notice the wind noise are gone while driving now.

 

I love it.

Ive got a magnetic gray as well. would you mind taking a couple more shots? im thinking about getting the side splitters, but need a little visual help to make my decision.

Its flat black...non glossy, But that's the way I wanted it cause I have a flat black rear lip spoiler hehehe...But you can paint it if you want...

 

SpecialK, I am also now very interested in this look for my Magnetic Gray. Let me know where you try to buy them. I can't find another $150 deal on ebay like krmcg was able to get.

 

Good luck finding a deal like that. I paid $268 with free shipping from Daytona Toyota on ebay. I'm hopping to install them this weekend.

 

Very nice, aggressive look. I didn't think it was possible on a Prius. I'm definitely interested in the side molding and the aero side splitters. But the problem I'm having is my Prius Prims Premium exterior color is Magnetism Blue. I think it looks great with side moldings so I'm getting that for sure, but I'm not sure how it'll look with black aero side splitters. What do you guys think?
