Just got home from my 500 mile trip up to escanaba michigan!

On the way home i averaged 52.3mpg!!!!

I have to say, its one amazing car. I love the SE/SS and the ability to be in full eletric mode.

I drove a civic hybrid before this, which that one didnt have an all eletric mode, so im loving the prius!

I actually love the drivers seat, its VERY comfy IMO.

I also thought the JBL "premium" sound system wasent bad, but you have to tweak it first...

I absolutley love the car though, i love having most of the controls on the steering wheel, and i LOVE the GPS system. It got me home and to many fast food places on the way home! 8)

Thanks guys for helping me through my 6 month wait, because i absoultey LOVE THIS CAR! :D

On your way back home did you happen to stop in Cheboygan? My son saw another salsa red in town recently and I thought I had the only one. Of course it is tourist season (and yes, I'm ready to shoot them already...)

We just passed through Escanaba (and Cheboygan) twice last weekend in our new Tideland Pearl on a trip from our home in Appleton, WI to Traverse City to attend a family reunion.
While there we also drove down to Ferry and Rothbury on a geneology trip to visit old family gravesites.
Got 57.5 MPG displayed, 61MPG computed on our first tank.

Cool, our town is being invaded by Prii.
I'm not sure I've seen a Tideland Pearl yet. My son saw what he described as a charcoal gray Prius a couple of days ago. He said it was cloudy so I'm assuming it was a Driftwood Pearl.

If it was Monday the 28th then it was probably us. The Tideland looks gray. :)

The exact point of the sighting was on US 23, with the mystery Prius heading towards Rogers City. You, Larry?

Escanaba is along US 2 (runs along the northern shore of Lake Michigan) in da U.P.
It's actually quite a nice place. If you didn't already know, Michigan holds 2 state fairs, the larger one in Detroit, and one in Escanaba.
