Could the touch screen capabilities of the MFD be used with a mini-computer?

Got an AUXBOX for my non-iPod mp3 player, so I can't control the player thru the MFD (as you would with ICE or such). But even if I went iPod, I'm not sure the "faked" cd changer controls would be satisfying. Got to researching a mini-pc in the car, but all I see use a seperate screen. Why not utilize the touchscreen MFD and build a killer interface?

    Possible?

    Thanks!

There's a guy with a MAC-Mini that got it working with the MFD. The MFD is not a standard VGA screen so it will take some tweaking with the frequencies to get the display working properly. Take a look for the thread. There should be a link to the MAC Mini installation.

I like having a second screen. It allows me to keep an eye on the car's system info and still be able to browse my music or have my GPS running. Personally, I wouldn't like to have my computer output to the MFD since it handles so much information already.
