I have the same result. Apparently the seat belt chime cannot be turned off.

I now have a theory about that. After some time with it turned off... I believe it's shortened the seat belt chime time considerably. In other words, with it disabled... I get just a few chimes when I turn on the car, but once I'm rolling out the driveway (or driving) with my seatbelt unbuckled, the chimes are gone.

I usually get it bucked about the same time the car is in the "Ready" mode, so it's not been an issue. I've not turned back on to test my theory... because I'm happy things now.

It should shut off if things (and your equipment) are compatible. On Carista I set the seatbelt chimes to OFF on both driver and passenger. Both times the app gave me a warning pop-up about shutting it off and laws in my state blah blah blah....click another "AGREE" button and it was done. Silence. :)

I followed that same procedure and got the same legal message... clicked "AGREE".

I'm wondering this... does the car chime twice when you push start and "READY" is activated?

Maybe my seat beat chimes are off, but I think I hear about 2 chimes after pushing start and "READY" appears.

I believe so, yes. Also try this: get the car going over 12 MPH and unlatch the seat belts one at a time. If it's off, you'll hear nothing.

Confirmed: it is disabled (as much as possible). Driving unlatch test confirms that.

    Thanks!

Got my bluetooth adapter yesterday and set the options I wanted. I'm on the NW side of Chicago, towards O'Hare, so if there is anyone that wants anything set drop me a message and we can meet up. No sense in paying the dealer or blowing $40-50 for Carista and a dongle-I'll do it for free.

I am waiting for my preference order to come in for a Prius 4 with AT and PCP. I discovered this thread about Carista and it looks like an awesome device. However, the mobile app In-App purchases seem pretty expensive.

It sounds like based upon previous posts that they used to be a one time purchase option for the mobile app but now it is $10 for a week or $40 for a whole year.

What there a recent price change?

Did there used to be an option for a one time purchase?

There was, and the backdoor may still be active. There's a post in this thread detailing how to use the backdoor if it exists. I actually bought the license several days before I got the dongle. It's worth $20, I'd dispute if it's worth $40 a year, every year. I already cleared a fault code for a guy at work, and he's bringing his other car tomorrow and we'll see what options are available to activate.

This is a paste from a thread on the maim forum...
Hope it helps. I used it and worked fine but being a backdoor it was not obvious at all.

"Update to the latest version. Open the side menu. Tap the version number 5 times.

It gives me options to "purchase old Pro package" and to "disown old Pro package". That tells me that there will be things in the future that I don't get with my already-owned Pro purchase."

On the iPhone version 3.0 if you select the Debug menu it gives you the option to purchase old Pro Package

    Re: reverse beep

Is there anyone out there in the UK who has tried this with the Gen 4 or, if not, found a solution that works?

I'm about to upgrade from Gen 3 and fixed the reverse beeping on that one using ScanGauge II. Hoping to find a solution that should work on UK models.

    Thanks

Many thanks for the swift reply!
I have posted elsewhere asking for the XGauge codes. Can you point me in the right direction or tell me what you did if you have time?

    I understand this one:

Open windows and sunroof by holding key in door lock
    ON / *OFF*

...which default is off (holding down the unlock button on the fob remote)...right?

    But what is:

Open windows and sunroof via long-press on remote
    *ON* / OFF

...which appears to default as *ON*, but nothing happens when I long-press either lock or unlock buttons on remote.

    Can anyone clarify? Thanks

This is for US, not sure if it will work in other locales. Press the unlock button on the fob one time, just like you would unlock the doors, then press and hold the same button down until the windows and sunroof start opening. Continue to hold until the desire opening and release. J
