The great majority of us didn't do nearly as well in the gene lottery, so must put much more effort into our eating habits in order to have a good chance of living that long.

Imagine his reaction when he sees my Prius with the NRA lifetime member sticker on the back.

The Prius has been mainstream for so long that it shouldn't surprise anyone.

But my stickers (annual) don't go on the car. Here in enemy territory, it is likely to cause road rage.

    Vegan here!

I was just at the dealership the other day getting mine serviced. I saw an older Prius with a vegan sticker (I don't do stickers) and I thought 'so typical', so much so that I took a picture and sent it to my husband, joking about it. I do think the vegan+prius cross section is funny.

Anyway, I'm glad that people do various things that they do to reduce environmental impact. You aren't obligated to do 1 thing if you do another.

I'm too old now to be a vegetarian dude...

It's time to enjoy a good chili cheese dog occasionally!

No one said you have to but if you had to pick a food to put your foot down on, a chili cheese dog wouldn't be anywhere near my list (plus you can make veggie chili cheese dogs... but again why would you want to? :p)

I don't have a sticker on the car but have shocked a few people who saw me step out of the Prius with a 9 mil strapped to my hip(y)
Even had this genius ask me one time "is that a gun?" He was either a vegan or from California, I didn't ask.

One good thing about being retired, and old(er), is I am already past my "prime", slowing down, facing the "golden years", so I can eat and do whatever I want. (Except for sex which is out of the question! :ROFLMAO::eek:)

And really, who wants to live into their 90's??? Certainly not me. I watched my parents suffer so much when they got that age, totally losing their independence, and being in misery every day... Horribly depressing to see!

Nothing against vegetarians, God bless 'em. But for me, I just plan to enjoy each day as it comes, for however long it comes, putt around in my Prius, take my daily walks, and not be too overly concerned with "diet". I'm going to enjoy a good grilled steak once in awhile, my chili dog, a thick cheeseburger, bacon & eggs, and a nice cold bowl of chocolate chip ice cream! :D And a pretty plump woman to share a hot fudge sundae! (y) (Ok, and I like a chicken salad and veggies too. I'm not a total pig.)

(Shoot. This post made me hungry!)

But you know WHAT? Who cares what people eat! Or what car they drive! OMG! Are we that friggin' bored, that we need to stick our nose into other people's business?!? I don't care if my neighbor has a gas-sucking Lincoln Navigator! Or she grows turnips and beets in her garden? Or she lives on glazed donuts? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I ain't some damn, old, burned-out, nosy California hippy! Make that a DOUBLE cheeseburger!!!

Allowed to be loaded? Open carry, concealed, or both?

The thugs in Cal make their own gun laws... probably about 90% of them have a weapon in their car.

Honest question I probably shouldn't ask because it will derail the entire thread...... Why have a gun on your hip if it's not loaded?

Beats the hell outa me. But look at those nuts in Texas.... And lots of other states don't allow the "open carry" gun to be loaded.

Yes, let's not turn this into a gun thread. But apparently, "open carry" laws are different from "concealed carry" laws? At least in some states. Many don't allow the open carry gun to be loaded.

Ok, let's get back to the "grass and seed-eating" liberals who drive a Prius.

    (Just kidding folks!)

I don't really plan to live into my 90's and not my reason for being vegan. I was just joking about a chili cheese dog sounding gross... Not that I'm all The Jungle on hot dogs but before I lost my taste for meat, I liked the taste of it but hot dogs and trying to cover them up wasn't me :) I'm all for ice cream though, one of my favorite things, good thing there are a lot of non dairy ones out there.

Okay... I'll admit it. I'm vegan. I went vegan 5 years ago. I lost over a hundred pounds and my diabetes went away. I didn't intend on doing it.... I just wanted to deny the disease access to any "bad stuff." I also confess that I am a liberal. I was a Republican for most of my life but my party left me along the way. And tomorrow, I shall be a Prius driver. I closed the deal this afternoon. And to volunteer something... I have solar panels on my house. ;)

I seem to fit all the stereotypes don't I? Funny thing is, I don't consider myself stereotypical at all.

I actually enjoy veggies... just don't have them often enough, I suppose. (Except on my pizza! I load up the veggies there.) But what about all the chemicals and fertilizers being sprayed on them???

I've never attached a "label" to a certain kind of car, or driver. Why do some people do that. It's silly. I never looked at a Prius driver in the past, and thought they were some kind of flamin' flower child! In my mind, a Prius is just another car. I don't really care if it's a Hybrid or not... I just wanted a good, reliable, economical gas-saving vehicle. That's it. If a Mustang with a V8 got 60 mpg... I'd buy it! ;)
