Car burning oil

I have the same problem with my 2010 Prius.... My dealer told me he is seeing a lot of Prius 's with this problem he thinks Toyota is going to recall this engine soon. The Camry and Rav4 has already been recalled for this problem defective rings and pistons. So I'm waiting............

 

didn't you get the recall notification? have you moved since purchasing the car?

 

No recall on the 2010 Prius as of yet for oil consumption....

 

must have been a rumor, i'm sure it will be coming soon. just about every 2010 burns oil.

 

btw, what happen to pyrotalk, i thought he was going to report back?

 

I'm now finding this out, I have 135,000 miles and it's been a great car until 2,000 mile ago

 

how much oil are you burning per 1,000 miles?

 

i assume you mean oil consumption was noticed 2 k miles ago? How did you find out? As bisco said, what is the consumption level? Done anything to it since finding out?
