Here are tables displaying the various features of the different models of Model Year 2017 Prius Prime. Attempts have been made to group the them logically. This should make it easier to compare between the three different trim levels.

In addition, you can compare the Prime Plus, Premium and Advanced models to the Prius Two, Three and Four Liftback models (no Touring or Eco). Just download the PDF or Excel spreadsheet attachment at the bottom of this post.

How can the front shoulder and hip room be different? Aren't they using the same seats? I know you're using official numbers, so it's interesting that Toyota measured a difference.

Thanks very much for your work in setting up this table. It makes the differences between the levels quite clear.

Yes. The front end design slightly increased drag. The double-wave window sought to offset that.

Please realize that the difference between "0.24" and "0.25" could really be the difference between "0.244" and "0.246", for example.

how much a difference is there between .25 and .24? (I know, 0.01(y) ) I'd bet it wouldn't be measurable in the mpg.

If there's no rounding, about 0.8mpg, overall. If there's rounding, it could be as much as a factor of 10 less.

Yeah, I was referring to the fog light pockets. I'm assuming that's where the drag is developing as that is not a smooth area. Toyotas fog lights are useless in actual fog, but smoothing out that area might help lower the cd.

But design prevailed for the Prime so that's why it's a bit less aerodynamic. (If you read one of my poorly translated Japanese articles [ha!], Koji was talking about the double wave rear window and how he wanted the designer to give a reason for it other than design purposes.)
