Somehow the Prius makes the iPhone play its first song, not playlist

I almost always play iPhone playlists. At times, and I can't pin them down. suddenly the Prius when starting up starts playing songs, with my first song playing. Most annoying. I am 100% positive that at least once I checked the music app first and it showed my playlist and then things reverted to my first song. Anyone else seeing this? BTW this is bluetooth playing, not USB.

I have this happen sometimes too. No more idea than you as to why though. At least you know you're not alone.

I have noticed that when I turn off my iPhone and then turn it back on, the Music app doesn't remember what was last played or what was queued up. So if I connect the phone to my Prius after it has been restarted, the Music app picks the first song (random song if in shuffle mode). The only way to get it to start in a playlist for me is to actually start a song in the playlist on my phone and then start up the Prius. If I don't restart my iPhone, the Prius/iPhone always remembers what was last playing and continues the playlist from where it left off.

I am not talking about after a reboot of the phone. This behavior I would expect. I am talking about the Music app set to a certain point in the playlist and something the car does causing it to go back to the first song on the iPhone (not in the playlist).
