Just recently purchased a used 2012 Prius Four Classic Silver and was at the Target in Tampa bay and saw like 5 Classic Silver Priuii parked in one row!!! I was like whoa!

The color looks really cool! I have attached a pic of our Prius.

Once you upload the photo, beside the photo link (underneath the main text box), there's the option to insert photo as "full size" or "thumbnail". Click "full size" and it'll be inserted into the main text box.

I think the reason you see so many silver prii is, to paraphrase Henry Ford, you can get any color you want, as long as it's silver. When I got my 2010 I literally looked all over the country (online) to get the Desert Sand in a model V, but none were available, only silver.

Makes sense since Silver and Black are the most common colors.

Another member of Team Silver reporting! Here in Atlanta, it seems like half of the Prii are Blizzard Pearl, so I got silver to be different (but not TOO different, of course).

When we were shopping for our Prius, I spent a lot of time reading here on PC, and I was also a bit influenced by @Mendel Leisk 's avatar.

    Another silver owner.

In reality, most colors are problematic. Some look nice, and if you like it, fine, but anything dark = hot and isn't popular in southern states. That leaves white, silver and "tan." Tan, to me, looks like it's always covered with road dirt...even when it's clean. Silver might show dirt more, but it looks sexy when freshly washed and waxed.

That, and silver, white and black are neutral colors (silver being close to gray). That make them very versatile in blending in no matter the "color du jour" that the current model year is sporting.

The Classic Silver touch-up paint matches (silver, not the $!*&! black rims) rim colour exactly. I've used it a lot on the curb side rims. Our silver's held up very well, regular waxing helps.

(a couple of angles, on the day we purchased. Indoors under fluorescents with some daylight, more so in the left shot.)

One more silver Prius owner, my first option was blue but silver was the only color available with the options I wanted.
No regrets, actually I have owned two silver cars for the last 4 years :D

I have had two now in classic silver. In a previous post I made about my Gen 2 I said the vehicle looked as though it was carved by CNC from a single block of billet aluminum.

From another silver Prius owner. I have had my Prius model four for an year and a half. It is easy to keep clean since it hides the dirt well. Shows very awesome when it's polished up. This is my second silver car.

It's funny one poster mentioned that silver looks good when clean, but shows the dirt more noticeably when dirty. I actually find silver to hide the dirt nicely. With the exception of the rims when it's dirty, you can barely see the dirt on the paint when it's filthy. I'm glad I chose this color over the black cherry that I was originally leaning towards. I think it will hold up better with age. (But that black cherry sure is sweet) heh heh
