    Hello!

Purchased a 2012 Prius Four from CarMax and noticed this noise (embedded video below) and want to see what others think. I am assuming it is some cheap wiper blades and if so please recommend some good ones as it does rain a lot in tampa bay. Thanks!

Definitely sounds like wiper blades. Are the original blades on it? If so, why not get the rubber inserts at the dealer and replace to original? If not and something else is on there, I replaced the drivers side with a Michelin blade.

Works well for the short period of time it is required in Cali:).

I agree sticking with OEM blades. I have them and they work very well and quite a long time. From what I see in the video, you have aftermarket blades. If you don't mind dropping some dough on OEMs initially and replace with refills, you'll save a lot of money over time.

    I had the same problem..
Changed the wiper blades (didnt work)
Cleaned the windshield with vinegar and newspaper (worked for a while but the haze came back)
Then a friend recommended a windshield polish to remove the miro scratches off the windshield. The tech used SRP polishing compound with water and used a buffing machine with a felt pad.
Did it and changed the blades again. The haze is gone and I can see clearly again.. Hope this helps

    I've been using this:

Go over the windshield first, then wipe along the wiper blades with a cloth wetted with it.

Still on the original blades, they work just like new. The car is low mileage, almost always garage stored, could well be a factor.

Depends if you still have the OEM Holders.

    Below are the complete assembly.

FRONT BLADE for 2012 Toyota Prius|85222-75011

FRONT BLADE for 2012 Toyota Prius|85212-47040

Below is the refill only provided you still have the OEM Holders.

WIPER BLADE REFILL, LEFT for 2012 Toyota Prius|85214-68020

WIPER BLADE REFILL, RIGHT for 2012 Toyota Prius|85214-30390

Try cleaning the glass and the existing blades first. If they still bounce, then go ahead and replace/rework them. Best of luck to you.

FWIW, I also recommend the OEM blades. YMMV.

Thank you! The car has the wiper blade OEM arm and so I only need to buy the OEM blades. Will this be the same price at the dealership? Thanks.

Prices online vs your dealer might be different. Maybe get the parts dept. to price match? Also, if you haven't done the refills before on the Prius, get the parts guy to show you how to do it. Metal blades in the arm have to be reused and only go in one way, plus rubber refill has a notch that goes one way. Once you have done it, the rest is history.

    Best of luck to you!
