So I did my sisters brakes on her 05 Prius. As I was pushing the piston back in on one of the calipers it began to leak. I replaced the caliper but the brakes didn't work right, the brakes were grabbing, come to find out one grabs the other does nothing. I replaced the caliper again but still the same results.
Anyone know what is going on or have any advice?

    Thank You
    Kenwood

You need to grease the glide pins on the calipers

Check the rear drum brakes are operating too. Just raise the back, make sure wheels spin near-free, and that both sides lock when brakes are applied.

I'm thinking the caliper leaked because there's rust flakes or whatever in the lines, jamming, preventing good seal.

Are you sure you know what you are doing?
What about the rotor? Did you resurface or replace?

Do you have Techstream to flush the brake lines?

Just subscribe to Toyota TIS, and get a temporary subscription so youncan get the factory manual. $15 for a two business day subscription.

Gen2 Prius requires Techstream to bleed brakes, esp the rears.

There was one ingenious person who figured a way to do it w/o, but the process he discovered was a major PITA. No one in their right mind would want to follow in his foot steps. Given how cheap the hacked copies of Techstream is, and how invaluable it is, I am still amazed some people don't want to get it. Obviously a laptop is required. But laptops are plentiful and cheap.
