I have recently bought a prius v 2013. When I took it on a longer trip suddenly after a roundabout when the road went upwards the car started to shake wery much but when I put more gas it stopped. Same thing happend the day after when I was driving out on a busy road. Is it possible that I drive to slow so that the engine doesn't get enough power to accelerate. When I spoked to people they say that I have to put on more gas when I climb a hill. Is this normal for this car. I have been driving in ECO mode and tried to use the electric as much as possible. I have went to a garage and they found that the cooling sensor was wrong. Can that make it behave like it has done

How many miles on your Prius? How long have you owned it?

welcome! you shouldn't try to drive in ev, that will reduce your mpg's. the shaking might be unburned hydrocarbons in the intake manifold, can you give us more info on the thermostat?

Unrelated to your problem, you will almost undoubtedly get better gas mileage if you let the computer control EV and not force it.

You may be forcing it to run down the battery then run the engine to recharge it, frequently this will use more gas.

The car is a former taxi and has gone 20070 miles. I bought it from a car company. And I liked it when I saw it. It has been to service each 3 months and I am going to check the service papers what's been done on the car. Know I have a new cool sensor mounted so I have to take a testdrive in normal mode to see if it still shake.

Being a former taxi, it has racked up the miles. It would be interesting to see what has been done.

Some items to consider as @bisco mentioned:

1)this could be air restriction to the intake manifold on the egr system.
    2) does the car consume any oil?
    3) do you have any codes displayed on the dash and if you did, can you get them read?
    4) have you used fuel injector cleaner?

    Keep us posted(y)

That's low mileage for a taxi. The car may have spent a lot of time idling which can cause a buildup of carbon and crud in the intake manifold and upper cylinders. Try a fuel injector and system cleaner first.
