android 5.1 and 4.4 user survey

    Hi All Android 5.1 and 4.4 users ! Would you be kind enough to tell me if your Android Navi unit displays the reverse camera image when the unit is turned off and put in reverse. I have asked 5 ebay sellers and 2 of 5 have said the unit does NOT have to be turned on to see the reverse camera image when put in reverse. I am contemplating installing one in my wife's car but she drives a lot with the radio OFF. And I wanted to be sure the reverse camera displays when the head is turned off as it does on our factory unit now. Are all the units different on ebay?

    My android unit does... It's got no labeling though so I can't tell you what model it is. Yes, I think all the units are somewhat different in make. I would look at Amazon and pay attention to customer reviews

    Thanks Cosbycomedy. I also heard from sfv41901 and he said his also does . I think his is a 4.4. Reverse image shows with the unit off.

    I have 2, 4.4.4 android units by different manufactures in 2 different cars. The back up camera works any time vehicle is in reverse. Even before the unit fully boots up like when you jump in the car in the morning. I am pretty confident it would be the same on all units.

    I install one on my prius, prius has 4 harness connectors, the unit i have is pumpkin it only able to connect to three harness connector, everything work fine except the aux line in, anyone had a diagram of prius 2010 harness guideline
